Albarn chose to omit any mention of the people at the Nova festival who were massacred & are still in captivity. In the context of actually being at a music festival. People are pretending that's ok. That he didn't have time, that it was an understandable nuance to overlook it etc. So yes, I am saying there is, consistently, a lack of sympathy as evidenced by the equivocation, undermining, denialism and general shrugging & pretending its no big deal.

I wasn't talking about the festival goers. What happened was obviously deplorable. I don't believe anyone is suggesting that noone has sympathy for the victims.

Netanyahu should not have use that phrase. It’s not one I’m familiar with but I have no doubt it is a very loaded phrase and was used deliberately. No Biden has not offered to assist Israel to wipe out Gaza. That is simply factually incorrect.

I'm just elaborating on my earlier point, that the intention behind the invasion, seems to be to wipe out Gaza.

People shout "Amalek" at Palestinians and people they perceive as opposing the killing of Palestinians. A reference to Amalek is a call for the obliteration of a people, as per holy instructions, eg to "blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven" and to kill every man, woman and child of that people.

From my understanding there is a history of inciting that passage from the bible in order to incite violence against the Palestinians. It was used by SA in their case against Israel.

My understanding is that it is a very well known story in Judaism and overwhelmingly understood and invoked metaphorically. He almost certainly shouldn't have said it but I'm not familiar with tbe full context. I'm sure you will find full coverage of the debate in Israel its likely to have provoked if you wish to.

Of course. I used the word 'tragedy' deliberately. Nowhere close to all the population though, which is what was said. Its odd that the largest number of Jews murdered in one event since the Holocaust is a 'nuance' to be overlooked but wild unevidenced accusations about wiping out a while population are completely proportionate. I think we've reached the point in these threads where the moment for sensible conversation has passed and the bingo card is filling up so I'll leave you to it.

That seems to be the intention given the rhetoric from the government. Starvation, lack of hospitals and medical treatment, lack of infrastructure and indiscriminate killing are all pointing in one direction.
