You then go off on a tangent. The current conflict stemed from Oct 7th. This level of conflict occurred because of what happened that day. The incursion, the deaths and the hostage taking.

@US2gether I think you’ll find that the US has apparently proposed a ceasefire plan, but Israel seems to have its own plans. Let’s not forget that there are many conscientious objectors within Israel who are opposed to Israel’s violent actions and simply want peace. October 7th didn’t just happen in a vacuum so let’s not ignore the domino effect that lead to it happening in the first place.

If a person is held without charge, never mind trial, they have broken no law.

Administrative detention is Israel's own term for holding people without charge indefinitely, and I'm surprised you don't know that.

His version of events isn’t new though. It matches up with what his family and other witnesses have reported as well as the video footage.

What doesn’t match up with the video footage is the story that IDF were swiftly transporting him to get medical help while they ignored and passed no fewer than three ambulances, and definitely did not take him to a hospital but left him in the road for others to assist.

Sorry? What about all the displaced Palestinian refugees who have lost their homes and no right of return? Who is the one who has the right to defend themselves when someone is bulldozing your home? Why isn’t Israel doing more for the hostages? Why is it that IDF have “accidentally” killed their own hostages because they just couldn’t tell? How is it that the IDF knew about the World Central Kitchen and killed them anyway? It was pretty clear they were gunned down.

Or is it just that Hamas have to be moral but Israel and the IDF aren’t held to the same moral standards? Why is it that Orthodox Jews who are against Israel’s policies are being attacked? Reality is very complicated and Israel needs to do more to start the peace process and if that means to negotiate so that they can have their hostages return, that’s something they should be considering and doing everything they can to ensure there is a peace process. Instead even if there is an an arms embargo, you have the likes of Russia et al arming Israel, so what can Palestinians actually do?

The police can hold you for up to 24 hours before they have to charge you with a crime or release you. They can apply to hold you for up to 36 or 96 hours if you're suspected of a serious crime, such as murder. You can be held without charge for up to 14 days If you're arrested under the Terrorism Act.

That’s not what Israel says at all and what happens isn’t at all like “the majority of world’s prisons” because Palestinians are not under civil law, but martial law. It’s an entirely different system. There is no bail. There doesn’t have to be a trial. There is no jury or justice/judge.

You've made a number of strange claims.

2.1 million people haven't been murdered or starved. Too many innocent people have died though.

There is a current conflict which started after 7th October mass insurgency into Israel. Its horrible and the latest suggested ceasefire agreement by the US was rejected by Hamas, in what the US described as unworkable changes required. I'd rather believe the US than Hamas. On and on it goes. Innocent people in the middle.
