I know that point was addressed to another poster but I would say that I condemn people celebrating the kidnapping, rapes and murders on the 7th October and any people celebrating deaths of innocents in Gaza too. Both 'sides' have trauma and I believe terrorists are terrorists not 'terrorists'. Peace can be the only correct choice.

If an Israeli was celebrating the deaths of Palestinian civilians would you defend them because to them the actions of Hamas and ordinary Palestinians are intertwined? Is there anything this vile woman could say or do you wouldn't make excuses for just because her parents came from Palestine?

And Hamas aren't "terrorists". They're terrorists.

I'll also add rape, kidnap and murder isn't resistance its what it is.

It won't end unless terrorist supporters realise terrorists are wrong and settler behaviour is stopped which is also wrong. Simplistic but both sides need to make major changes to their behaviour and attitudes to each other. Both Israeli people and Palestinian people should exist, no wiping out or threats to do so.

Thanks RedBlue the reason I said could be "interpreted" is because the Tweeter Raina is Palestinian, so for her the occupation and settler behaviour are intertwined.

By all means call people "terrorist" supporters but that ignores the complexities and strength of feeling, not just by Palestinians but I've said it before the behaviour of the IDF has got many more young people straight up expressing sympathy, understanding and support for the "resistance axis".

Now you point it out, it’s clear- unless you play the video, though it looks like a blurry video of people getting chased off a farm and her caption refers to them as “settlers” which is inaccurate. The landscape also should have given a clue

Thanks, Raina is obviously extremely anti-occupation. Posts like her typing "Karma" need to be seen as it does reflect a sizeable (and growing) contingent who see/saw October 7th as an inevitable consequence of the Palestinian situation.

I had a quick scroll through the account when the link was first posted and there was a post calling Hamas the real heroes, right next to one about Jewish refugees saying "we should never have let them in".

I wonder if an Israeli had been forced to leave their home because of Hamas and started posting Islamaphobic comments and celebrating the deaths of Palestinians you'd be quite as quick to leap to their defence.

She seems to be a young Palestinian woman who has been forced to leave her home because of Israeli occupation. She clearly hates the state of Israel because of her personal experience . Her point of view seems to be that armed resistance is justified when peaceful protest is suppressed. She has little sympathy for IDF casualties. Some of her posts are insensitive but most seem accurate. Miriam Adeldon will probably buy the US elections. Hamas is well known to recycle unexplored Israeli ordinance into rockets that it fires back. Israeli soldiers have been shown behaving inappropriately with women’s underwear, but labelling an entire country as perverts is not on. The clip showing the funeral is definitely very disrespectful of the Jewish religion as well as her comments about the bereaved mother experiencing delusional thinking. The spitting images clip is also shared by Jews sans frontiers and it is accurate.

So while she is anti Israeli, insensitive and disrespectful of the Jewish religion and seems to be of the opinion that IDF are fair game I don’t see much specifically pro -Hamas.
