The Flag March on Jerusalem Day is an accurate thermometer of the condition of Israeli society. It measures the levels of hatred, racism and violence in the religious Zionist society and the tolerance of the police and the rest of society to these traits. This year's diagnosis is terminal. Wednesday's march was one of the most violent and ugliest I have seen – and I have witnessed every single one over the past 16 years.

From my point of view, as I had been following the related news story in a trusted Israeli newspaper, I was interested in the photograph itself.

They posted the link, I can comment on it. People often comment on the news source when a link is posted.

What does a bio have to do with the photograph of the occurrence though, which has also been reported elsewhere?

Several assailants knocked Hasson to the ground and kicked him before Border Police officers intervened. Hours before the parade officially launched, hundreds of young men streamed through the Old City’s Muslim Quarter, chanting "Death to Arabs" and violently attacking Palestinians, journalists and peace activists. Some also vandalized Palestinian shops.

there seem to be a lot of very , very young men. A lot look almost like school boys. Is it a special group?

A poster on another thread posted an Australian TV political question and answer show. On this, the Australian journalist Maher Mugrabi explained how misleading it was on one level to say there had been peace before Oct 7, because in the West Bank 2023 had been the most violent year since 2005. 80 children were killed alone!

The problem is the suppression of the international press and the probable targeting of journalists by IDF in Gaza.@malengring . Twitter/x is the guy standing on a box on Hyde corner. He has his own agenda. Only the most naïve would not take this into account and assume that certain amount of spin has not been put on the account of the incident. But it doesn’t mean that that the events did not happen.
There is very little in the English language Israeli press about the events above apart from a feeble defence in the Times of Israel.
It is not in the Israeli government interests for Americans to see what suffering it is inflicting on Palestinian civilians.

Why did Hezbollah fire at Northern Israel? It was in response to the IDF using phosphorus to trigger fires in South Lebanon.
