Apologies for the long title! There are so many awful things happening to the Palestinians in the West Bank, the Christians in Israel and others.

I thought there was already a thread detailing this but now can’t find it, apologies if I am missing it. Or it may have already been full.

Here is a clip of Israeli minister of finance, Bezelal Smotrich, vowing to topple Netanyahu’s government and calling for genocidal violence in the West Bank.

One of biggest tragedies is how Palestinian Christians have been "forgotten" during this conflict by some people. Likely in order to frame the situation as a "religious war" between Islam and Judaism.

Thieves, in the West Bank, I believe.

The top comment reads “they are not settlers, they are foreign occupiers “. This has got me thinking, the term ‘settlers’ doesn’t really describe what they are doing to the indigenous population.

What possible hope do Palestinians have against this?

That is the truth of what is happening, and has been happening over a long time.

This is just one of the ways the ‘not’ terrorists occupy and invade.

They are impressive and brave. It is so important to remember that there are Israelis like this, so committed to peace that they are risking their own lives.

The same is true for those Israeli activists who were guarding the aid trucks from settlers trying to stop them, or trying to destroy the aid.

ISRAEL: Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Israel approved building five new illegal outposts in the West Bank in response to unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state by some countries, adding that "we will establish a new settlement" every time this happens. Smotrich said he believes "the war is going well," and that the most serious issue related to the war is the IDF's opposition to establishing a military government in Gaza.

In response, the U.K. Foreign Office stated that it "strongly opposes" the announcement, and called on Israel to "halt its illegal settlement expansion and hold to account those responsible for extremist settler violence," and for Israeli actions to weaken the Palestinian Authority to end.

That man Smotrich is loathsome, the lowest sort, and he is bringing Israel down to his level.

No, it has gotten much worse. I revisited him last week, during a week-long trip through Israel and the West Bank, and I found that settlers have burned his cars and destroyed his tractor. They have cut down his olive trees and set his sheep shed on fire. They tried to break into his house when his granddaughter was home. Now his wife is arguing that they should give up their home, for fear of being burned alive by settlers.

This is life on the West Bank today. It doesn't get as much attention as Gaza, but the situation is desperate. And the US is largely AWOL. No doubt if Palestinians of the West Bank suddenly attacked Israel, it would be said that everything had been peaceful before then but the Palestinians just want to kill all Israelis.

This is exactly what their aim is, terrorise them and make life unbearable forcing them to leave. This is no way to live horrendous terrorising treatment by these settlers

im not sure whereabouts this is, whether Gaza or the West Bank. But terrible, wherever it took place:

“Israel pours concrete in Palestinians’ irrigation wells.
I think about this one every other week.
July 2023 (there was a ceasefire on Oct 6 etc etc).
The brutality, inhumanity and injustice of all of it.”

I remember another video I saw a while back of Israeli tanks purposely destroying strawberry crops, in a whole field. Obviously a family’s livelihood. It’s yet another level of the attempt to destroy Palestinians’ lives.

How more deprived does this have to get before the world steps in?

How intensely unpleasant. Did settler children do this, I wonder? Where are the adults, if so.
