Agree with the others. This post is really upsetting to read.

45 people were blown to bits and burned alive in their makeshift beds, in shitty little tents because they've already lost everything they had. Babies were killed, at least one lost its entire head. These are scenes of horror that are hard for us to even comprehend.

There's no justification for it. None. I'm sick to the back teeth of listening to people justifying the savage and barbaric murder of babies, children and civilians.

The IDF did this to strike back at the ICJ who ordered them to stop. They know the tide has turned against them and they can't continue to use the veil of their religion to hide from criticism.

I understand the raw emotion about this strike. It is horrific.

There’s much we don’t know. What we do know is important, though.

Senior Hamas combatants were the targets and were killed in the strike. Meaning the target was likely legitimate.

The question was the proportionality analysis done. That’s not something we know.

IHL expects civilian casualties, it does not demand that you eliminate them all together. It does demand you mitigate them to the best of your ability.

And that’s the question that must be answered.

Exactly this. Regardless of any other opinions you have, how can you justify burning children alive in the tents they were told were safe. It's horrific.

There is no defence for this. You cannot defend innocent women and children being bombed in their refugee tents.

They sent them there!! They sent the kids there. The pregnant women were sheltering there after being displaced countless times.
They told them they would be safe there. And then they burnt them alive in the night in their tents. In their TENTS!
How much more sadistic can it get. When you think it can't get any worse and then it does.

Great to see leaders speaking out. The scenes last night were nothing short of hellish. Burnt and beheaded children, absolutely shocking that this happened after the ICJ order and in what was supposed to be a safe place. I think it is clear though that speaking out isn't enough at this point when Israel are unwilling to listen, harsh sanctions really need to be implemented asap.

Does it seems to you, that contrary to what the IDF says, this hit on the Palestinian ‘safe zone’ was intentional retaliation for the Hamas rockets?

Or do you think it was accidental ignition of a fire that spread, caused by their targeting two high rank Hamas in a compound near by? That is what the IDF said.

It will be helpful to see if an outside agency can work out which.

In my opinion you are right about Hamas launching those rockets. They will have caused terror to innocent people, all be it without harm thanks to the dome, but otherwise not done anything - least of all to the IDF.
