But maybe you think Israeli the lives of Palastinian children are worth less than Israeli children or that they deserve to suffer because of the actions of Hamas?

I believe it’s been their plan all along tbh. Since October, we’ve been seeing the process drastically sped up. And after all, no one has stepped in to protect Palestinians thus far, so of course Israel will feel they can snatch what they want.

Israel never left completely. They still control the water, power and food supplies. Israel has imprisoned the Palestinians in Gaza by destroying their airport and blocking the port. There are already plans to build houses in Gaza and the illegal settlers are quite open about it.

The Israelis wouldn't be allowed to but they would still do it, they've been doing it for years but are still called a democratic country for some reason

There is considerable evidence of the existence of Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip prior to their previous withdrawal. This can be confirmed by eyewitness accounts, satellite imagery of that time, government records, etc.

There have been repeated calls from politicians (including members of the current Israeli government), settler movements and others for the re-establishment of Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip upon completion of the current military activity there. These have been widely documented in mainstream media.

There have been multiple records of significant politicians and business figures discussing the potential value of the land and sea for Israel, including members of the Israeli parliament and even the Trumps. This includes the basic value of coastal land in the region, facilitating access to maritime resources, strategic value, and the Ben Gurion canal proposals (I'll attach a link to an article that explains some of the potential value of the canal - the map with the article goes around the outside of Gaza, but there is a proposal that routing through Gaza would be more cost-effective and politically palatable).

That is simply a proposal from the 1960s. Looking at the map in the link below, the proposed canal is entirely on Israeli territory so if they wanted to build it, they would have at least started by now.

@LauraNorda it the Gurion canal plan that had been floating round since the 1960's. I'm all for current Israel and Palestine to be combined into one none religious state but the canal seems like an uneconomically viable project considering the costs of war.
