@Cantonet What a bizarre post. I am not Israeli or Palestinian but are you seriously suggesting the Palestinian people are/were neutral in their attitude to Jewish people? I believe there are 2 million Muslims in Israel and about…0 in Palestinian areas as there is a matching zero tolerance for Jews.

The Israelis are not attacking Hamas effectively. There is increasing criticism of the way they're fighting this war from Israelis. Bombing the top doesn't damage these tunnels but just causes collateral damage - the poor Palestinians. So the Hamas fighters are increasingly able to regroup.
Are the Idf going to repeatedly re-fight in the same areas they cleared a few weeks ago? They need a whole new way to attack Hamas within the tunnels. That's the only way the war in Vietnam was won via learning a whole new way of combat.

Most Israelis/Idf fighters seem to have a deep-rooted hatred of Palestinians. There's no compassion or care for them at all. They're not treated like human beings, but they're akin to Cockroaches. This is far more apparent than the Palestinians so-called hatred of the Zionists. I've read that the support for Hamas before the 7th was low within the educated Palestinian sector. I'm sure support has now rocketed because they're the only ones fighting against this immensely cruel, totally unfair attack on the Palestinians.

It's even in the fucking updated Hamas charter! The original charter was also very clear on their stance on Israelis, Zionists and Jews. The original charter that got Hamas elected. They got something like 45% of the vote at the time.

I'm not interested in taking sides. The Israeli government and the IDF have also said and done awful, dehumanising things about the Palestinians.

Since Netanyahu announced his entirely impossible goal of "eliminating Hamas" I've been deeply worried about the number of Gazans who will die unnecessarily as a result. Pretty much everything I was worried about has and is happening.

The majority of Gazans are displaced. Hundreds of thousands are starving and we know children and babies are most likely to die in famine. This is entirely man made and there is no end in sight. It's shocking in the 21st Century.

Ariel Kallner, a Knesset member for Likud, said, "Right now, one goal: Nakba. A Nakba that will overshadow the Nakba of 1948"

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari, who said forces would turn Gaza into a "city of tents" and that Israel's "emphasis is on damage and not on accuracy" in the bombardment of Gaza.

Amichay Eliyahu, a cabinet minister, and Tally Gotliv, a Likud parliament member, have both called for Israel to use nuclear weapons on Gaza, with Gotliv stating: "It's time for a doomsday weapon. Not flattening a neighborhood. Crushing and flattening Gaza."
