UK revokes visa of law student who addressed pro-Palestine protest

With all the recent threads about the protests, I wonder what everyone thinks about the U.K. Government revoking the visa of 19 year old law student Dana Abuqamar. She said that:

“Freedom of expression is a fundamental human right, but it seems to not apply to ethnic minorities, particularly Muslims and Palestinians like myself.”

She is challenging the decision and has accused the U.K. of hypocrisy. These are her comments, which she said have been taken out of context:

I always see written on Mumsnet that “freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequence.”

Do you think the Government’s decision is the correct one?

She never even mentions Oct 7th. She's talking about the Palestinian resistance to the current Israeli onslaught. I guess they're expected to just dig their own graves and lie down and take it?

She was interviewed on Sunday 8 October. What do you think she was referring to when she says she is 'really full of joy' and 'proud that Palestinian resistance has come to this point'?

You asked name a country invaded by Britain and I did . I assumed you were British, wrong on my parts perhaps but my point remains valid. Britain is guilty of that crime, along with countless others.

She is talking about Palestinians in Gaza "for the first time not being on the defence" ie them having attacked Israel. Stop pretending she's not talking about how proud she is of the terrorists for the massacre. She is.

With such "pride" and "joy" in the events of 7 October, she'll feel much more at home in a place where others openly share her viewpoint. It must be awful for her feeling she is under unfair pressure to curb her enthusiasm.

I mean, no. She didn't call it "07/10". "For the first time, they were actively resisting". How is that possibly referencing the protesters 🤦🏻‍♀️ Just accept that she was proud of terrorists for what they did. She is also far from the only person who celebrated, so not sure why you're trying so hard to deny it.

When you put it like that, it sounds like a terrible country, an aggressive and unsafe country.

I'm sure the student wouldn't want to love or study in such a place, and will welcome the chance to get away from it.

Oh, did you not actually listen to what she said? Maybe watch it again. She was quite clearly talking about the events on October 7th and not pride in people speaking up for Palestinians. Pride in Palestinians who invaded Israel and raped, murdered, maimed, kidnapped Israelis and people of other nationalities who happened to be there at the time. So no, your assumption is not reasonable. So yes, she should be kicked out. It's just a shame it's taken them this long that she's presumably managed to finish this whole academic year.

The UK supplies around 1% of Israel's Arms. The Navy is monitoring terrorist activity in the area and in particular supporting the transfer of aid to Gaza. 'Taking part' is a major, ideologically contrived, stretch.
The only people who argue that Ukraine provoked Russia are Putin & his acolytes. I think we can see where you're coming from.

1% is still a supply to a country that has killed over 10k+ babies alone - and that's by definition supporting the action of your "allies". And the navy isn't exactly doing a good job of monitoring terrorist activity as the kids and innocent are being killed continuously- over 30k dead. You sound like you're quite proud of their conduct.

I’m all for peaceful protests , maximising SM outlets to highlight the Genocide , showing the true extend to what is happening in Gaza and West Bank , to expose the atrocities of Netanyahus brutal crimes, but I could never agree with someone who sees that Oct 7 is not a crime.
