Terrible but not surprised - Jewish community under threat

It appears Jews are not safe in the UK at all.

Can we seriously look at the impact of anti semitism now?

I criticised the language she used to describe the marchers, nothing else.
She could just have stated "the marches are not helping", without the need to be insulting.

The acts were planned for December so there is a reasonable likelihood that these terrorist plots are at least partially motivated by the war in the middle East and certainly a rise in anti semitism could be a precursor to plans like this.

You may not agree to the marches happening and you have every right to do so but your derogatory sweeping statement on the marchers is not a valid argument to explain why antisemitism is rising.
By the way, any form of racism is despicable and I sincerely hope these vile individuals are dealt with accordingly.

it looks like Islamic State were the sponsors but I think the current climate will help radicalise recruits. I read in the article an automatic weapon was to be used!

I wonder if schemes like prevent could be ran now?

I am glad this is being called as a potential terror attack on British soil and the accused are named. However maybe we should be raising the terror level more generally as although not a security expert it does seem unfortunately that such an attack is becoming more likely. The security services can't do everything.

I think this is a wake up call to those who complain that highlighting anti semitism is an exaggeration. It is right we worry about such things.

Very concerning. Hopefully a wake up call for those who are in denial but this is nothing new of course. All Jewish organisations such as schools, businesses and museums have had to have much highet levels of security than non-Jewish equivalents for years & synagogues are regularly vandalised despite their security - the Community Security Trust grew out of the Board of Deputies as long ago as the 80s.

No. It's depressing.

It just seems like being Jew Ian is now risky and I fear society at large is allowing this to happen. There is too much anti semtitism being shipped up by Gaza and people are afraid to call it out.
