There was a suggestion during the week that there would be a ring of checkpoints and only women children and men of 'non-fighting age' would be allowed to evacuate from Rafah

I heard on the radio Israel is prepared to negotiate.
Spokesperson for US, it could have been Blinken, still saying they want a ceasefire (6 weeks), no Rafah attack and more aid in.

According the the IDF numbers; if you are an adult male, you are Hamas.

How do they intend to differenciate between displaced civilians and Hamas hiding amonst them when they get to this new camps?

The US need to act and not just pay lip service now. We are watching war crimes play out in front of our eyes and the US are still sending military aid. It just makes a mockery of international law and that makes us all less safe.

The US are also not convinced so currently not supporting a ground offensive in Rafah

I had seen the tents pictures indeed, but Khan Yunis is a long way for ill and injured people to travel still.
It does not seem big enough either, somehow.
I do hope that they make it there ok and stay safe. For some reason, it is not convincing me.

1. Hamas kidnapped people because they wanted to use them for an exchange with prisoners. They’ll not release them without achieving anything. This is how terrorist groups work. They kill / kidnap innocent people in order to achieve something

I wonder where all the people who left Rafah today have gone. I hope they find somewhere relatively safe to sleep the night, and that they were able to take whatever supplies they have left. Life can be so unfair.
