Why 355 bullets.

I think there are a small number of regular posters who are under the mistaken impression they are speaking to a silent majority who read but don't post. That's why the aggressive hasbara deliberately gets ratched up to support a false narrative, whilst of course pretending to be on the receiving end of aggressive comments.

That's also why it is important not to engage with baiters whose sole purpose is to try to engineer cancelling -hence why there are such tantrums when ignored.

Hate speech also happens as the moderation is inconsistent. Surprisingly, in my experience, X/ twitter is better at deleting that propaganda nonsense whilst enabling free speech. It is also definitely an advantage to be able to block people - rather than have to look out for their names at the top of a post, refuse to read them and scroll on.

Fortunately most people are using their eyes and ears and can see through hate propaganda. Ultimately, this can only help bring peace to the civilians of Gaza.

I am also not a fan of hidden gratitude. Several of my post get many likes - I'd be happy for these to be public as it would also help shut down some nonsense - it is weird these are not public.

You are right, just responding that the video must be fake/ AI because it shows one Israeli in the interviews saying, ‘The only answer is to carpet bomb them’, and others saying objectional things about Palestinians, is not reasonable without proof.

Yeah she said she couldn't find a non-racist Israeli. She also says Hamas are resistance fighters defending themselves against a Nazi army so maybe I won't quite take her at her word.

Maybe. She said there were no views along the lines you mention expressed. I'm not familiar with her so I'm not going to defend her but the video provides balance against those who repeatedly claim that Gazans are Hamas and other similar claims ad nauseum.

I was asking the question of that poster because suggesting it's AI or whatever isn't reasonable without any proof.

I just saw this investigative journalism report about the little 6 year old girl, Hind, and the murder of the ambulance drivers coming to rescue her as she was talking in the telephone to rescuers called by a relative just before they died.
We hear the recording of Hind talking.

Even though the ambulance drivers had telephoned the IDF for permission, taking 3 hours to get it, while Hind was bleeding in the car among her dead relatives all that time, the ambulance and medics were obliterated/incinerated just before getting to her. She died in the car all alone. It was a very long time before she was found.

Warning: it is upsetting beyond belief.

Israel denied they did it.

It is investigated by Forensic Architecture and Earshot.

My husband is a bearded tattooed tough looking guy too and has also cried his heart out over all this and so has my father.

probably meant was that it was a compilation of remarks selected for their racism, and giving the impression that these remarks are typical of all Israelis, which is not true.

So, say the interviewer had come across an Israeli peace campaigner, or anyone with relatively moderate views, they simply would not have included them in the video, or would have edited them out later.

Or, maybe they went to interview people from a group they knew would most likely all have these views, like the people on the Flag day procession.

There is a whole debate as to whether it can be self defence at law since an occupying power cannot claim self-defence. Despite the physical withdrawal from Gaza, Israel controls it in every other meaningful way so many of the finest legal minds consider Israel an occupying power.

It's so heartbreaking breaking to watch. But don't say that as there are some really hysterical blinkered responses I've seen on certain of these threads. Some people really can't cope with the fact that most people feel a Gazan baby's life is also precious.

It's just horrific. Struggling to come on these threads anymore, people are so busy defending their side they are blind to the unimaginable suffering of their fellow human beings. It is unconscionable
