Yesterday I saw a burned baby girl being removed from an incinerated tent, next to her two other charred tiny bodies. A day or so before that I saw someone picking up the pieces of a child, starting with their tiny head which they picked up and put in a blanket. I have seen some children who look like skeletons.

If I say I think this level of senseless revenge against a whole people - 9 months of it and still going - which is neither freeing hostages nor defeating Hamas - is abhorrent, is that anti-semitism?

The reality of forced displacement...and this has happened to some families more than 10 times. Imagine the terror. Imagine having small children or disabled or elderly family members. It's so inhumane.

From the intelligence agents and former diplomats that speak on this, there is a growing divide between the military and political wings in Israel. There are units that are refusing to continue fighting due to fatigue, horror at what they've been ordered to do etc. This is the longest war that Israel has ever fought. Some soldiers have even moved their families away and will not return once released from duty. The deaths and casualties are also far higher than reported (haaretz.com/israel-news/2023-12-10/ty-article/.premium/idf-reports-1-593-wounded-since-october-7-but-hospital-data-is-much-higher/0000018c-552d-df4b-a78e-d52f47).

I saw that on the news and it included her telling of her ordeal.

She is a tiny, very old Palestinian woman.

She was told to get out of her house. She refused. She was asleep in her bed when they sent in the dog. The dog grabbed her and dragged her out of her bed, all through the house, and out the door. You can see her upper right arm is all bandaged. Imagine her terror.

There are Israelis who see the disaster that this current course of action will lead to and want to stop it not because they care about Palestinians, but because Israel has lost its international standing/reputation and they want it to return to the Status Quo pre October 7th.
These would be the sugar coaters, they will dangle the prospect of a 2 state solution and Palestinian rights whilst occupying the land and it's always sometime in the future. It allows them to lie to themselves that they're moral, not like those evil right wingers Netanyahu and Gvir.
