if two Hamas members were suspected to be hiding in nursery/daycare in Israel, would you support the bombing of it, knowing that lots of the children would likely be killed?

Mr Netanyahu said: “Despite our utmost efforts not to harm innocent civilians, last night, there was a tragic mistake.….We are investigating the incident and will obtain a conclusion because this is our policy.”

Be honest and stand behind your convictions to murder as many Palestinians as possible to stay in power in your morally bankrupt fascist cabinet Mr Netanyahu. We know you meant to say “They’re Palestinian, they are Hamas supporters, they deserve to die - it’s a shame there was not more of them. Good on our great IDF killing them - they will be patted on their backs.”

Most countries in the world support Palestines right to exist (140+ countries all clearly antisemitic for some people) - it’s just a case of seeing how many Palestinians are left alive after this genocide ends.

@quantumbutterfly the links you posted suggest to me you really haven’t been following the daily, or rather hourly, crimes against humanity Israel have been committing. As someone living, I presume, in Israel, surely you have a moral duty to keep abreast of the violence being committed in your name.

The video of Razan Muneer Arafat, an 11-year-old girl from Rafah, is stuck relentlessly in my mind. Razan lost her entire family and also one of her legs when the Israel Air Force bombed the building where she lived. Her heartrending weeping haunts me, just as I was haunted by the weeping of Yael Idan, from Kibbutz Nahal Oz, in a video shot by Hamas on that accursed day. The mind finds it difficult to take in the sight of the anguished girl begging for her leg to be restored to her, just as it was difficult for the mind to take in the sight of the girl from Nahal Oz begging for her just-murdered sister to be restored to her.

The faces of Razan and Yael are the true faces of the war. Not the heroic deeds, not the intrepid operations or the fire-breathing speeches – but the terrified, helpless expressions on the faces of two innocent girls who suddenly found themselves hurled into an inferno. Two tragic specks swept up and swallowed by the torrent of vast historical events. The chroniclers of the conflict and historians of war will not write about them. They are doomed to oblivion, like so many of the victims and orphans on both sides.

I think we need to protect our mental health and, like you, I also read accounts of what happened. I don't watch the videos.
For me, it is also because I was exposed to the horrors of WW2 at school as a young teenager and from hearing stories from my family, who lived under German occupation. My dad had also books (with photos) on the subject which I read. All this traumatised me.

I know what you mean. I can’t bear it. I don’t click on too many of the links posted either. I’d rather read about what has happened because I sometimes think seeing video evidence can be almost as traumatising as being a witness in real time. I also think we can become desensitised if we see too much brutality. But maybe Im just being cowardly..

I know it's important to bear witness of what is happening and to listen to these children but I can't bear it.

I had understood it to be taboo to mention Nazis in connection to Jewish people, understandably. But they have no compunction in using the word to validate their own Klu klux klan like behaviour.

Article in the BBC this morning about violence in the West Bank.

I find it crazy that things like this keep happening in a place where people argue there is a democracy and equal rights for all. I can’t imagine this happening here.

The extreme and unchecked hatred of this particular group is scary. I would be interested to hear what actions are being taken in Israel to deescalate the cycle of violence.
