I feel like I watched this, or something very similar, a few months ago, but just saw it reposted. It’s definitely worth a watch. Chilling what the global leaders are willing to do for money and resources.

It's unimaginable, these soldiers who have committed these atrocities will return to civilian life after (if they survive).

It's Israeli society that will have to deal with any fallout, and behaviours they exhibit on return. I wonder how enthusiastic the "but Hamas" crowd will be.

Thanks @BelleHathor and @ScrollingLeaves , I’ve just read through all those links. I don’t usually read Israeli news sites which are explicitly pro the government and idf, so it was really interesting to see that even on these, the consensus is the same in the fact that Israel cannot achieve its reported military aims. (I’m still not convinced that genocide itself isn’t the aim tbh 😭 )

It’s crazy that the whole Israeli government (not just Netanyahu) would rather ruin the entire country rather than change their path.

I'm saying it again, but Ori gets it and articulates it so well.
The constant dehumanisation of Palestinians by certain pro people has shocked ordinary folk and instead of looking "powerful" it shows a disconnect, severe lack of self awareness or even basic self preservation.

Don't apologise @ScrollingLeaves , it's a great article that deserves to be read (many times!). It seems that in addition to completely wanting to annihilate Palestinians, Netanyahu and his government do not care about what their orders will do to Israeli Soldiers in terms of their mental health and what this will mean in the future for Israeli society.

@Finallyloggedin Blinken is flying out tomorrow to apparently speak to Netanyahu and Gantz. Remember a few months ago Gantz went to Washington and Netanyahu threw a fit? Apparently Gantz is the one that the Americans want to replace Netanyahu. It's quite likely that he would have consulted them before resigning due to his popularity falling.

It's quite complicated, there is a guy called Lieberman who potentially could have replaced Gantz, but Netanyahu betrayed him 2021 so Lieberman hates him.

He could possibly move the crazies in like Ben Gvir, but they're delusional enough to actually go to war in Lebanon which would be a disaster for Israel. Hezbollah forced a F16 plane out of Lebanese airspace today.

All in all it's a mess, the thing to watch though are the military resignations.
