Yeah, MPN are big fans of the whole "they control the media thing". So are their pals Putin and Assad.

That's where Venessa Beeley was spreading her mad conspiracies about the White Helmets.

It's a thing of wonder CITME, where folk lose their shit at links to articles from the DM but with a straight face will then demand you read Mint Press.

Israeli lawyer’s impression of detention centre

It is horrific and it is barbaric.

By the way, these prisoners are not Hamas fighters. Hamas fighters are held elsewhere.

A nasty little detail - aside from starvation and rape among a few examples selected from a wider variety of cruelties - is that
“They are not allowed to pray or even read the Qur’an.”

The Israeli captors are living proof of what happens when certain people have absolute power. They themselves are no longer civilised, if they ever were.

Alon Mizrahi:

”Two interesting developments in Israel from the recent 24 hours, both directly related to Israel's militarist (read: genocidal) mindset and Netanyahu's policy of forever war/apocalypse:

First, a group of reservists notified the IDF it would not be returning to serve in Gaza, for reasons that include both humanitarian considerations ('I did not understand why they asked us to burn down apartment buildings') and the futility of fighting as regards returning Israel's captives. This is not a big group: only a few dozens signed the letter. And, more importantly, they limit their refusal to Gaza, thus allowing the IDF to use them somewhere else free other soldiers for Gaza. This also comes extremely late in the day, so it is not a huge and dramatic deal. It is, however, a crack in the wall, and a major reason for infighting and instability.

Second, and much bigger, is a decision by the Israeli Supreme Court to declare illegal the special status given to young Haredi (ultraorthodox) kids, which exempted them from otherwise mandatory military service. And this, compared to the tokenistic refusal by the reservists, is a huge deal.

The special arrangement for Haredi Jews goes back to the early 1950s, when Ben Gurion created it to allow ultraorthodox Jews to live in Israel and lot give up their Torah-centered lifestyle.

There are around 1.5 million Haredi Israelis and they are the youngest demographic, meaning they are becoming a bigger percentage of Israeli society (Remember that there are approximately 7 million Jews in Israel in total).

The issue of Haredi military service has been a staple of both secular Ashkenazi politics, and the Ashkenazi religious right. Those groups see the IDF as the center of both Israeli culture, and the source of their elevated status in the Israeli hierarchy.

Just as important, for those two groups, destroying the traditional religious Jewish way of life means the triumph of Zionism over the Golah, which they despised since the very beginning (in their stupidity, they believe they represent a model of Jewish power, as opposed to the weakness of the Jewish diaspora. They have no idea how weak and hysterical they appear to the rest of the world).

Also, in their strategic stupidity, liberal Zionists pushed to make Haredi mobilization a burning issue as Israel is fighting a long and unwinnable war: the result is not going to be tens of thousands of Haredi kids joining the IDF, it is going to be social strife and infighting on an entirely new scale.

You see, there is no way in hell the leaders of the Haredi communities will allow their boys to be recruited. It is not happening: it will be the ruin of all they believe in. And those are actual believers. They are not playing. They will go to war (against the state of Israel) and they will go to jail or leave the country. But they are not joining the IDF.

And so what we're going to see in the near future is an Israel thrown into fierce inner clashes (right-left, secular-religious, Haredi-Ashkenazi) just as it heads into a new major war while being led by a divisive and toxic psychopath.

Watching Israel right now is like watching a prophecy of doom, happening live.”

Interesting indeed.

So basically what he's saying is that The Jewish State (he makes a point of repeatedly calling it that) is full of rapists and paedophiles, ordinary Jewish citizens love it when Palestinians are killed, Israeli Jews are basically Nazis and any account of women being raped by Hamas is an evil zionist lie. What a lovely guy, I'm not surprised you like him.

By the way, if you've got time check out his video and how great hezbollah are and he can't wait for them to destroy Israel. Or the one where he talks about how great Hamas are and how he can't wait for them to destroy Israel.

But you can probably find someexamples of what he says, and he provides some quotes from known sources in the back ground which anyone can check up on and so decide for themselves.

I was told it was best to stick to official news sources when I posted a link to an opinion piece, so I'm suprised to see this being justified. I assume it's okay if it's the right opinion.

I am not sure what you mean?

I can’t remember the various sources he had showing in the background of what he was saying, but do remember the name of AP was one, for example, which is official.

I checked out various things he said. They tended to be based in truth but he ‘milked’ reports and exaggerated them or removed the full context or unanswered questions. Some Israeli disseminations of news do the same.

As I said before, anyone could check those sources he had printed behind him in that video for themselves.

Interesting analysis by Alon Mizrahi:

”Some thoughts about Netanyahu's latest video in which he pretends to have asked Blinken to stop delaying weapons shipments to Israel (I am not sharing the video because the man radiates such toxic psychopathy that I don't want anyone to be harmed by it. If you do want to watch it, it's on his page).

First, and quite obviously, no weapons shipment was ever delayed. This administration is owned by Israel, and they will send Netanyahu their own gift-wrapped asses, and their grandparents' as well, if he only hinted he wanted them for some experiment. So this is not about weapons and munitions, what is it about, then?

  1. It is about removing Biden and the Democrats from office and bringing in Trump. Netanyahu is using his hypnotic power over America's politics and media to portray Biden as the dangerous left-wing lunatic who puts the existence of Israel in danger.

Personally I am happy the Democrats will be defeated in November, and I think the Democratic party needs to be annihilated, burned to the ground, and have its ashes scattered in deep space (I strictly mean the organization, not hurting a single soul, let me make this clear). The Democratic party has proven itself to be the enemy of mankind, plain and simple.

But to return to Netanyahu's video, this is the bigger lesson here: everyone who ever believed Zionism, or believed in Zionism, will be betrayed and let down by it. Every person and every organization, Jewish or otherwise: all would be betrayed, made clowns of, and disappointed. You will never in your life meet anyone truly rewarded for their contribution to Zionism. This is my prophecy and remember that. Trump will be fucked by it too in his next term, by the way, as will have all European puppets and all Arab decorative governments.

Netanyahu does another thing in that video: he answers the resentment people feel about how long this has been going on by creating a legend according to which Biden's administration's decision to delay weapons shipments prolonged this genocide unnecessarily and prevented Israel (read: Netanyahu) from achieving the swift and decisive victory they would otherwise have had.

This narrative will play wonderfully with Netanyahu's rightwing base, who just looove the paranoia and are simply eager and pulsating to feel abandoned by America that finally revealed its true antisemitic face. They crave this more than anything else except maybe a total catastrophe rivaling the Holocaust, which will prove, once and for all, that they are truly God's chosen people.

Yes, that's how sick.”

I listened to him and agree he has an extreme bias and agenda.

But you can probably find someexamples of what he says, and he provides some quotes from known sources in the back ground which anyone can check up on and so decide for themselves.

Though examples of what he says exist, there will be a great many Israelis who would never think that way; just as extreme views of some Palestinians about Israelis would not representative of all.

For an extreme, and no doubt exceptional example of the dreadful Nazi allusion, this was on a thread yesterday: (I forgot to get the poster’s name, thank you though.)

“Israeli Politician Quotes Hitler to Argue for Resettlement of Gaza”

“Former Israeli Knesset member Moshe Feiglin quoted Adolf Hitler as he called for Israel to resettle the Gaza Strip and create a "Hebrew Gaza."

“Feiglin, who quit Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party to found the right-wing Zehut Party and plans to challenge Likud in Israel's next elections, made the comments during a panel discussion on Israel's Channel 12 that was shared on social media on Sunday”

"We are not guests in our country, this is our country, all of it..."
"As Hitler said, 'I cannot live if one Jew is left.' We can't live here if one 'Islamo-Nazi' remains in Gaza."

Quoted from:https://www.commondreams.org/news/moshe-feiglin-hitler

link to video of him saying this genocidal rhetoric on Channel 12 as reported:

Ben Givr and Smotrich seem pretty appalling.

(In case it is not clear, I think Sinwar and his henchmen are mad and monstrous.)

“A Declassified report has found 180 MPs representing all major political parties except, Sinn Fein, Plaid Cymru,SDLP, Alba, SNP, Greens, Alliance or Workers Party, have all received funding over the last year from pro-Israel lobbying groups.”

When people are thinking about how to vote in the General Election, please take a minute to think about the relationships parties have with lobbies. Lobbying is a practice that is alive and well in the UK, and it does influence people's decision-making.

If a person or group of people are accepting money or nice things from a lobbying group or a company, there is evidence that this does result in a more favourable opinion of the lobbier. It's the same psychological processes that drug companies use when they offer free lunches and fancy pens, just on a scale that can lead to global policy shifts.

Check who's trying to buy your politicians before you vote for them.

No problem at all @Finallyloggedin a lot of pro Palestinian spaces get mass reported to Twitter, resulting in them "crashing" or people not being able to join, you're in good company one of the hosts was also unable to join and the space crashed 3 times! I will post the summary from Hala later tonight.

On Mehdi, wowsers pure fire, impossible to argue against him, like he said Shameless! I wonder if the his bosses who fired him last year regret cutting his strings allowing him to be more free. He was the first of many of many who dared criticize the Israeli Government that lost their jobs who are not backing down, just like Briahna Joy Gray who lost her job last week at the Hill, here is an interview she did with Candace Owens (contract also not renewed ;-)lol!)

Surely if simply criticising Israel was a fireable offense, she would've been sacked a long time ago?

And Candice Owen's antisemitism gets more blatant every day:

"If you even accuse someone who is Jewish of having more allegiance to Israel than they do to America, you are going to be in trouble. If you have any inclination as a Christian that you havea right to believe in the story of Jesus Christ, that is our Doctrine he is our Lord he's our savior. you better be very careful if you're going to talk about how the Jews played any sort of role in his persecution."
