@Parkingt111 I wondered if it could be partly related to the security threat from Iran? If the IDF are preparing to defend against a suspected imminent attack, that could reduce resources and heighten scrutiny? I don't know though.

None of the UN's aid missions to the north of Gaza was allowed to take place today. Each one was denied access. Does anyone know why? The north is still suffering the most right now

Apologise? What on earth are you on about? My post referred to the use of language and being mindful that we don't dehumanize people caught up in this conflict. Words used carelessly cause offense.@Scirocco explained that the poster in question used English as a second language. Unfortunately I don't have the gift of psychic powers, so wouldn't know that. @SpiderPlantBaby I'm sure @EasterIssland would not have intended to come across as dispassionate or to cause hurt. English isn't her first language - sometimes it can be really hard to get nuance across in a second or third language.

No of course I didn’t want to offend anyone. The info I’ve written In there about the hostages is from the hostages thread if anyone wants to know info about it.

I'm sure you didn't mean any offence, but please be careful with your words. Let's not forget that these " alive hostages " waiting to be " exchanged " are very much still real people with families who are crying everyday over their absence. They are not just political pawns or players in a " deal ", so to be described in such dispassionate terms is very hurtful.

There were rumours of one coming soon.
yesterday several relatives of one of Hamas members were killed and Hamas has said this wouldn’t stop them seeking the ceasefire.
however, I was just reading the hostages thread and apparently Hamas has said they might not have as many alive hostages to exchange which is one of the reasons for a ceasefire so unsure how would that affect the deals.

Does anyone know if we are closer to a ceasefire? None of this can be fixed until we can get aid in and some stability.
