Why the need to make this comparison to Jewish people at all? Why is it such an issue for some people when they’re asked not to tokenise and misrepresent all Jewish people according to the actions and opinions of some Jewish people? No, it’s not ok to make sweeping generalisations about Jews, any more than it’s ok to do it about protestors, so what does this complaint add to the discussion?

Thanks @Scirocco I believe it is not Ok to make sweeping generalisations about any group. There is no group of people that it is OK to do this about.
Ridiculous that it was taken down merely for pointing out that there are people on who dislike being stereotyped themselves, but feel it’s OK to do it to other people.

As someone who is part of a minority group which experiences sweeping generalisations, discrimination and hate on a regular basis, that experience only reinforces to me the importance of not doing that to other groups.

In relation to people participating in marches, demonstrations and other ways of expressing concerns about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, this is hugely heterogeneous group, so it's not appropriate to make sweeping generalisations based on non-representative samples.

It may not be the only purpose of the marches but intimidation does seem to be the purpose of those blockading coffee shops and Macdonalds, but that's indiscriminate intimidation, very fair, you don't have to be jewish.
