Anti-Muslim hate has increased since 7-10

Out of the 901 off-line cases of anti-Muslim hate, there were 535 reports of abusive behaviour, 77 threats, 83 assaults, 79 acts of vandalism, 69 cases of discrimination, 39 acts of hate speech and 19 examples of anti-Muslim literature.

Looks like all gloves are off and people feel emboldened to scream hate and abuse at each other. We seem to be devolving as a species

What about your posts means you aren't surprised that people find them offensive? If you step back and honestly, not defensively, consider that, then you might be able to take some constructive steps towards reflection and change.

As another starting point, something to consider... Imagine a discussion in which Christian people or Jewish people or Hindu people are talking about abuse and discrimination they have experienced. Would you consider it acceptable for someone to enter that discussion by saying "well, it's really not surprising given xyz... people have had enough... you need to get your house in order..."? Personally, I wouldn't consider that to be acceptable for any group to have to experience that sort of thing. Would you?

It took things to a new level of depravity. Just in Europe alone, there had already been a series of attacks that require their own Wikipedia page:

Yup, twitter was a cesspit yesterday in terms of antisemitism and Islamaphobia.

Rachel does need to consider the factions that she's encouraging as many of those people are only supporting her so that they have an "acceptable" way to be openly racist towards Muslims. As soon as it is no longer useful they'll return to their standard operating procedure of blaming Jewish people (note: I'm not trying to be antisemitic, but these supremacist sorts hate all minorities).

I simply think this kind of thread is putting an "all lives matter" slant on the current situation.

I recall how awful Muslim persecution was after 9/11 and it paled in comparison to what's happening now.

It certainly feels like being gaslit when the streets are covered every single weekend in Jew hatred for months on end
