I know. But people who say “Israel can end this tomorrow” are wrong. No one has any clear solutions and it’s so nuanced that no solution is ‘simple’. I do not support Netanyahu - and in fact know nobody who does. But Hamas must be stopped and until Palestine no longer pose a threat to Jewish people (not Israel - Jewish people), the war cannot end.

They also ‘tried’ putting Jews in ghettos in Nazi occupied states too ‘for their own protection’ - and a small few Jewish people who clocked on what that was REALLY about, fled. I’d rather they didn’t ‘try’ anything that would once again compromise the safety of Jewish people.

People can say there's too much hate for a 2 state solution, but as far as I can see it has never seriously been tried. I do think the world probably has to impose some borders on Israel and Palestine, at least to begin with, as it seems impossible to just leave it up to the 2 parties to work it out.

FWIW I do wish they could come to a two state solution but under the current motivations of both camps that would be entirely infeasible.

I also know many Israelis who deplore their governments actions. But it doesn’t mean they’d be safe to live in a two state system the way things stand right now

I haven't seen anyone post favourably about the Netanyahu government's actions. Even those who are vocally pro-Israel have (to my knowledge) been openly against the IDF.

I do hate that posters criticize "Israel" as a whole, but specify "Hamas" for criticisms. The people of Israel are innocent, just as the people of Palestine are innocent. It is the IDF/Netanyahu government and Hamas that are problematic. Using "Israel" as a whole isn't anti-Semitic as such, but it certainly fuels the fire.

But Hamas is more than a terrorist group, it is the governing body in Palestine. If Palestine wants to be a recognized state in and of itself (which I support), surely their leadership should be held to the same standards as all other political leaders worldwide? Hamas was elected in 2006. They're not new to governing a nation, so there is no excuse as to their constant failures to their people and blatant disregard to International Humanitarian Law. I understand that Palestine's political system is not democratic, so there is no blame from me towards Palestinian citizens.

Today alone I have seen THREE posts telling Jewish People to STFU about their Jewish experience. That is anti-semtism, it’s every day and MN doesn’t care.
