Hamas planned attacks on Jewish people in Europe

Have seen in the news - I suspect it’s the tip of the iceberg and absolutely terrifying for Jewish people everywhere. Hamas need to be stopped, hopefully this helps to reinforce that they are a terrorist group and not some romantic notion about being ‘freedom fighters’

I'd also like to point out that I am not a pro-Israel poster. I am also not a Zionist. I just have the ability to see past the edge of my own nose.

are you being wilfully hard of thinking or what? They've arrested Hamas operatives who threatened the West. They want to eradicate Jews. Words from their mouths.

The continuous attempt to portray Hamas as some two bit freedom fighting operation, when it is a well funded, well armed terrorist organisation with global reach and a turnover of a billion US dollars a year, as well as yet another go at derailing a thread, is what’s truly pathetic.

Gaza hasn't been occupied by Israel since 2005.

You are correct in that they physically withdrew troops and settlers in 2005 but there is no question they control the Gaza Strip, as is evidenced by the ease in which they were able to cut off food, water and electricity virtually overnight from a population of 2.3 million people.

Israel has also imposed a blockade of Gaza since 2007.

Hamas's founding documents from 1987 said explicitly they want to kill all Jews.
They want a world-wide jihad formed in their own idea of Islam. Anyone who does not adhere- no matter what religion - is the enemy and a target. They have said that the atrocities committed on October 7 were just the warm up act.

Anyone who does not know this has not been paying attention.

They are not fluffy freedom fighters, They are murderers and terrorists and no-one is safe from them.

It's undoubtedly antisemitic but it does NOT call for the death of all Jews.

Why is this lie still being spread? The document is readily available. There are so many aspects of this conflict where establishing the truth is difficult (is this video genuine, or that photo staged etc) that too lie about what is written in black and white is really weird.

Hamas can be (and are) still bad guys without resorting to lies.

Indeed. One would hope given the thread there could at least be some pretence of giving a shit about the terrorism threat from across the world. Let’s just hope we aren’t standing in the wrong place at the wrong time. Let’s also hope that democratic nations continue to share intelligence to thwart attempts

The IDF openly and apparently legally used human shields until the mid 00s when an Israeli court outlawed it. Since then it's been done illegally.
