Almost like 'the Jews' are a mass.

After listening to their testimonies, I screamed. The worst is that there are thousands of such testimonies; from women having c-sections with no anaesthetics to cancer patients whose treatment have stopped.
The number of civilians who will die because of lack of medicines, food and anything needed to sustain life will run into the thousands. I am sure that a poster will soon reply that Hamas have taken all the aid. It appears that this is the norm here to excuse the Israeli government' s barbarity.

Jesus that's just unbelievable. Such barbarity by Israel I can't even get my head around it.

@fleurneige so your blaming Israel for getting attacked. Regardless of how it happened it happened. People were murdered in their beds, their safe houses, were set on fire, were raped. A baby was shot.

So where is the evidence he let it happen then? That all your great mates told you about?

You appear to confuse Palestinian civilians with Hamas or are you saying that all the 25000 dead so far were all Hamas terrorists? Are you going to counter argue that it is Hamas' fault for the dead because or the Palestinians voted for them or that they are hiding amongst the civilian population ( although we are continuously told that they are hiding in tunnels).
I listened to Radio 4 today. They played the clip of a Palestinian doctor who had to amputate his niece's leg on a kitchen table without anaesthetic and had to use kitchen tools as instruments. He was a broken man. He couldn't take her to hospital because they would have been fired at by the IDF. You could hear the sounds of explosions outside, Then came the turn of a mother who had to fight for food for her children every single day. The list goes on.
This was followed by two members of the Israeli government who were happily defending this.
Both Hamas and the Israeli government are responsible for the atrocities they have committed and/or are continuing to commit. No one is on the right side when it comes to murdering innocents.

From Palestinian supporters all over the world- who will never forgive what Netanyahu is doing now. The killing of so many civilians, children, whole families- and now the clear intention to totally destroy Palestine and get all survivors to be relocated out of their own country.

As for Security on the border- it is massive, 3 different barriers, one 20m high, with sensors all along, security cameras, and automatic machine guns. And the border is actually VERY short- and with the right technology, 'easy' to survey 24/7.

Xenia, the Palestinian people are being 'eliminated', not Hamas. But now we are talking about Netanyahu, and other extremists calling for Palestine to be erased off the face of the earth, and those surviving this ethnic cleaning, being relocated to other parts of the world. Do you really think those who survive will just move out and forget about this, forget and forgive? They will never. And this is putting all Jews at massive risk, not 'just' those in Israel. Can't you see this?

Imagine posting something inflammatory and quoting 'all my mates' as evidence and then demanding people do their own research.

I think that you have a point there.

Israel is on the side of right in this and Hamas needs to know it cannot do what it did without consequences. It knew full well this would be the Israel 9/11 and that Hamas must now be eliminated.

So that’s a no on the existence of any evidence then. Everybody knows that all “Jewish friends in Israel” have a direct hotline to Netanyahu and unparalleled access to both his mind and inner circle so I was expecting more tbh.

It's all there for you to do your own research.

ChaosHero- plenty of evidence that he and the military had many very serious warnings of imminent attack. Plenty of evidence that Hamas had to take down the border fence with huge bulldozers and that it took some time- that the border has video surveillance, and that there is about 30km between the border and the Kibbutz that was attacked- so about 30mins to 1 hour. And plenty of evidence that Israel has very sophisticated surveillance and military technology to blast such an attack into oblivion before it could do damage. No question.

I think there is an element of truth in what your friends are believing.

I wonder if the extent of the attack took everyone by surprise. After all, this appears to have been the most serious assault by an enormous margin.

I cannot believe in hindsight anyone would have acted differently. Those multiple warnings from so different sources should have been listened to and the risks not minimised.

However- given the actions of the IDF since Oct 7th and the words of certain Israeli government MPs including Netanyahu - it does appear that the ulterior motives of not wanting a Palestinian state to exist are also being advanced.

Jewish friends from Israel say that many there believe he actually 'allowed' the attack of 7th of October to go ahead
