Where is the outrage that Thailand only cares about the Thai hostages?

Thailand can only negotiate Thai hostages. But no, maybe you've cracked it... all we needed this whole time was Thai officials to stop the war.

Also, it's normal to be more sensitive to some people (that we relate to) but they should all be cared about the same. No idea why anyone feels the need to openly state they care less about one group. Imagine a Palestinian/Muslim reading that.

The Thai government/embassy has a duty to do what they can to ensure the safe release of Thai nationals. They aren't able to assist other foreign nationals.

This was a poster saying they value certain lives more due to their nationality/religion.

I hope the Bibas family are returned to Israel, even if they have been killed. Hamas and their terrorist friends have a tendency to hold on to bodies just to maximise the psychological terror. It leaves the family and the whole country wondering, never knowing for sure what has happened and not being able to extinguish the hope that they might still be alive. It's a particularly despicable thing to do, taunting the bereaved

I was thinking about them yesterday.

@PurpleChrayne why do you care more about Israeli/Jewish babies? Absolutely not goading, I admire your honesty, I can not comprehend caring more about Irish Catholic babies over other ethnicities and religious identification. When you say they are your family what do you mean?

I genuinely don't care about some children more than others. I can't comprehend that mindset at all (unless they were my own), just awful.
I really hope baby Kfir is alive and well, he's been on my mind a lot after seeing footage of his kidnap. I've been wondering how a young baby would cope under hostage conditions and hoping he is being treated well.

That would be the "hospitals" staff, the ones who said that it was absolutely not true that Hamas operated within the hospital complex. That there were absolutely no tunnels under the hospital. That 500 people were killed when the hospital was destroyed, when it was still standing and the actual death toll was, IIRC, 12 people who were in the car park?

N9w, I don't know whether the people speaking out claiming to be doctors at the hospitals are actually Hamas, or genuinely doctors who have been threatened by Hamas and told to lie, but I think it's safe to say that the reports coming out of "hospitals" are not to ba taken at face value.

One child's life is not more important than another. You should be open to talking about all of the children.

Haven't seen many threads recently in this topic where the child hostages have even been mentioned at all. It's like they.don't.count.

In this bizarre system of enforced equality, we're expected to care exactly the same about everyone and everything. Well, not me. It might make me unpopular, or "sick" or "twisted", or whatever else you might like to call me. Fine. Because of course I care that Palestinian children have died. Of course I do. But I care a damn sight more about Kfir Bibas. Because as a Jewish mother, he is my child along with Shiri Bibas' child. We are a family. And I suspect that might be part of why we are so despised.

If you are going to post things you need to verify them. I saw it on twitter is hardly verified.

Wow conspiracy theories! Check the videos out for yourself. There is a lot more video evidence of what Israel have done than what they are claiming has been done to them.

One child's life is not more important than another. You should be open to talking about all of the children.

I would also like to see you on the other threads telling people to stop derailing with conspiracy theories, but I doubt it as your the one derailing those...

You cannot start a thread on Gaza without someone say what about, what about what about. It works both ways.

Its not Hamas counting the dead its the hospitals.

But because the hospitals are under Hamas's 'Government' everything that gets reported is reported as from Hamas.

Isreal are revising the numbers as they killed a lot of their own civilians using tanks and Apache helicopters. Haaretz newspaper, an Israeli newspaper, have actually been threatened with being shut down for reporting this.

Israel also included Hamas fighters in the original numbers.

@Pennina I think it's a combination of a lot of things but they have obviously been squeezed over baby kfir hence the statement.

Considering some posters on here assume you can't fart in Gaza without asking Hamas' permission let's assume they knew about it and have sat on the info.

Like the not allowing the Red Cross in. Depriving hostages of their medications. Separating mums and children.

Cruel, barbaric and psychotic behaviours.

I'm just reading about the rotting babies in the hospital aswell.

The IDF forced everyone out of the hospital and wouldn't let parents take their babies.

They died of either suffocation or starvation.

I wouldn't believe it if it wasn't for the videos on twitter.

Why didn't the IDF move those babies to an Israeli hospital? They can't say they were terrorists or a danger they were only babies!

The numbers of dead in Gaza are only counting the people that they have bodies for. It doesn't include the 1000s of people who are expected to be buried under the rubble. With time as more bodies are discovered, like the bodies of babies that Israel left to die in the hospital in Northern Gaza that were discovered yesterday, the numbers will unfortunately be go up.

I generally agree - except on wording:

It's not a "tragedy"! An earthquake or volcano eruption are "tragedies". A tsunami is. An 5-year-old in Bristol dying of meningitis is a "tragedy".

But war, terrorism, occupation, child hostages, child prisoners, all the stuff we are seeing ... they're not "tragedies" - they are human-made and represent our collective moral failure as adults. And we owe children better than this!

Too many children have died in this series of atrocities.

I think it's miraculous that any of the hostages have survived the bombing given the magnitude of the loss of life for Gazan children. It was a risk the Israeli government were prepared to take.
