It's strange how it revolts people when someone talks about killing Israeli citizens in the name of 'protection', yet they will repeat over and over again that Israel can do just that to Palestinians in the name of 'protection'.

I would agree with you, but would also add- from reflection of what others have posted, that Israel is in a difficult and dark place after 7/10 and criticism and scrutiny of her government’s actions. There is also increase in Antisemitism.

It must be very difficult to hold onto one’s pain but also understand the pain of the other side.

Israel watched them die.

Israeli settlers are terrorising and murdering Palestinians in the West Bank as we speak. It doesn't mean we should bomb all their houses. That's not a normal response.

Out of the people Hamas killed 25% of them were non civillians. Israels rate is far, far lower than that. Does that make Israel less moral than a terrorist organisation? Israel left babies to literally rot in a hospital, what is that if not barbaric? Israel have left children to have limbs amputated without anesthetic what is that if not sadistic? Israel have been starving an entire population of food and water, what is that if not attempted genocide.

if you agree that Israel have a right to defend themselves by killing 1000s and 1000s of Palestinian citizens, then you must also agree that Hamas had a right to kill 900 civilians to protect Palestinians that Israel has been murdering all year long.

In decent society, we expect an elected government to have standards and uphold international law.

The vast majority of Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank support Hamas.

These "ordinary Palestinians" followed the jeep with Shani Louk's mutilated corpse in the back, spitting on her. Celebrated October 7. Went along with the terrorists to loot the kibbutzes. Banged on the cars taking child hostages to freedom. Lynched two of their own whom they suspected of being informants.

Hamas carried out this attack because they are sick genocidal jew haters who have stated again and again that they want to kill all Jews. If there is some plausible reason, perhaps enlighten us? Nobody made them rape and disembowel people, bake babies in an oven, record and celebrate the fact. Nobody made them show a child hostage the footage of his own family members being murdered. Good god, did you really ask that question?

Yes, they may be all that, but what does that make Israel? For every baby murdered on oct there will be hundreds of Palestinian babies murdered. By the Israeli government. So what does that make them?

The injustice is astounding and the world is watching in anger and disbelief.

More blaming hamas rather than looking more closely at the Israeli response which has resulted in the attempted genocide of people already oppressed and dispossessed.

No one is denying what hamas did was barbaric but the over the top response can't be justified anymore by 'but hamas'. The world is looking closely at Israel now and its not looking positive. People, especially the younger generation, who don't follow the mainstream media propaganda machine, are looking at Israel in a much more critical light.

As well it should.

No one here except a select few are falling for the 'but hamas' anymore. No one is convinced anymore. The pictures coming out of Gaza of the utter devastation caused by Israel and the unrepentant voices are really bad news for Israel now. They have totally lost any credibility they ever had. Hamas are terrorists and have no excuse, but a government who allow the murder of 13000 people as well as the horror stories coming out the west bank aren't fit for purpose. Stories they could have kept quiet and would prefer to keep quiet are now going mainstream and its making people want to find out more.

The injustices are out in the open and they won't be as easily hidden as before.

The world has woken up.

I've just left a vigil for Palestine. They were calling out the names of all the dead. They were still only on the 4 year olds when I left an hour and a quarter in.

Every one was someone's baby. Thousands of names. Terribly sad.

Hamas caused this situation and showed a total disregard for the people living in Gaza .
They knew exactly what the response would be and yet they did it anyway
