I believe Israel is saying the UN are not doing their job as efficiently by delivering aid to all parts of Gaza

The UN is saying that there isn't enough aid being allowed in and that despite what is allowed in, the intense fighting and bombardment means that it is extremely dangerous and difficult to navigate the huge task of being able to do their job
There has already been more than a 100 UN workers killed in Gaza so I think they have a fair point

The BBC said that from Sderot in Israel they could see the intense continuous bombing in Northern Gaza and at times even feel the pressure waves from the impact

I can't see how in such conditions its possible for them to deliver aid there

I'm not saying who is and who isn't to blame for it but just to highlight the severity of the situation on the ground in Gaza, which has a dire impact on those trying to carry out these dangerous yet life saving tasks and it may come to a point where the UN can no longer carry on doing so

Those included in the 3 for 1 were either minors or women.

Some of them only had a very short sentence left to go and would have been released soon anyway.

In April 2022, there were 4,450 Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli prisons – including 160 children, 32 women, and over 1000 "administrative detainees" (indefinitely incarcerated without charge).

What exactly were the crimes of the criminals many, of whom were not even charged, Xenia? Please go over all the releases and list their alleged crimes?

Israel has already given 3 convicted criminals for each 1 innocent hostages swapped - I have no idea why it could not have been one person for one person bur that is terrorists and Hamas for you. It is a horrible dilemma when hostages are taken. If you give in to terrorists and hostage takers you put countless lives at risk for the future so in my view Israel has done the right thing in going in to squash Hamas whilst also doing what it can to get back hostages and in continuing the fight. Even on aid it looks like Hamas is taking some of it for itself, not letting it all go to those in need. If we are sending in aid and it is being used by our enemies instead that is not not supposed to be the deal on aid - it shoudl be going to those most in need but that is Hamas for you - terrorists first, innocent people used as human shields, weapons in hospitals etc etc. They have kind of weaponised their people, 50% of whom in Gaza are under 18.

What on earth do you mean they are the poor misunderstood souls and everything else is properganda (Including their own words).

They probably just meant that the IDF will make the shoot the hostages with Jedi mind tricks or that they will take the hostages to Disneyland if a swap is not agreed.

Israeli official did an interview today he said they have the capacity to search and send through 240 trucks of aid a day. He said the charities are not doing their bit or something like that. I couldn't work out if he means not getting the aid to the border or not being ready to receive it. Else maybe something else entirely. Sure more information about that will come out eventually these things normally do.

I think they may be nearly starving now too. It sounded bad enough before judging by the released hostages’ accounts. Now Gazans are starting to starve to death the hostages’ food must be even less.

Hamas say he was killed in a failed rescue attempt by Israeli soldiers. So when did the broken jaw, broken hand, broken arm, eye gauged out beaten around the head and face, body injuries etc occur then. All that during a failed rescue attempt. Hamas are liars yet some believe everything they say.

very important unreported aspects of the plight of the hostages and their families, and the plight of the displaced Israelis; and about the historic political abandonment leaving the problems of this region to fester.

That is an interesting article, and a sad one. It is no surprise that Israelis must feel very alone and abandoned by an international community that seems to largely wish to spit venom at them after they've endured their worst terrorist attack in history, and now have to rely on a highly unpopular PM to lead them through it.

I must say from what I have seen and read I have been impressed to see how many Israelis have been so selfless in helping those in the community that have been affected.
