I saw today that Hanna Katzir who was released yesterday didn't know that her husband had been killed and her son kidnapped. Presumably they're being kept in small separate groups and I would imagine the men are kept separately to the women and children.

The issues seems to be that all aid was delivered (Palestinian Red Cross confirmed that) but that getting it north has been problematic.

That's what I've been seeing as well. According to Israel, they have nothing to do with the distribution of aid. So not sure that's Israel's fault? (Although obviously it will still be considered so on MN 🤪)

Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong though, I'm just repeating what I've seen and heard. I'm by no means a verified source!

@Readingallnight The last time they allowed aid through the bulk was Covid masks, burial shrouds and other similar items which whilst are needed clearly aren't the priority in a humanitarian crisis where they're struggling for food, water and medication!

They must be so traumatised. I’m just praying that all of the children are released before the bombing starts again. I was also hoping that the severely injured Palestinian children would be transported across the border to receive proper medical attention as well but haven’t seen any mention of it. Keep thinking of that poor little girl who only had calpol as pain relief after having limbs amputated. 😢

Avigail got to the neighbours and was in their saferoom and they were all kidnapped. So she will have people she knows. Her brother and sister survived but they aren't very old. I hope there are grandparents.

@Lobster7 it would depend if it was part of the agreement that was made between Hamas and Israel that civilians would not be allowed back to the north

Hamas issued a statement about civilians going North amongst other issues ie aid etc
so it seems it wasn’t part of the original deal.

Honestly, the things these kids have been through, the things they must have seen. 3 year olds remember. They are aware. I wonder who she is with? If she knows any of the other hostages around her from the kibbutz? One can only hope :(

Yes, before I get jumped on, I'm aware children in Gaza are suffering immensely and going through an excruciatingly traumatic time. They can't un-see the death and destruction around them. I'm aware of this.

One of the hostages, Maya Regev, has reportedly been taken to hospital in a "complex medical condition" but it doesn't seem that her life is in danger. She is 21 and was kidnapped from the music festival, where she was shot. Her brother is still a hostage I think.

If it was agreed on then I'm not sure if the ceasefire was broken, although I don't ofcourse agree with shooting and killing civilians who wanted to go back to check on their homes

I believe not going up north was part of the agreement, so that wouldn't constitute breaking it, no. I'm not sure if that's correct though, different sources say different things about what was included in the agreement.

@Parkingt111 weren't they given the list last night or something? I was reading earlier today about this breaking up of families issue, but I thought at the time that it was to do with tomorrow's hostages being released

So was this after the list of names was given to the Israeli ministry? As they confirmed to have recieved the names a few hours prior to the planned release

The deal yesterday was that Israel wouldn’t sanction the handover of Palestinians until ‘theirs’ had reached Israeli soil.
So I’m guessing very soon now

The hostages have just been confirmed to reach Israeli territory now

I think once it's confirmed that the correct hostages were released according to the list then the palestinian detainees will be released
