Any actual prisoners who have committed serious crimes should not be released but many of those being released have been detained indefinitely for trivial offences.

So many people are dehumanising these Palestinian prisoners as evil terrorists!

Oh no they are not! They are oppressed individuals with humanitarian rights. They would never dream of inflicting harm on others. They are not being radicalised in the slightest.

I honestly think with the bombing of Gaza this isn’t such an issue as there’s an entire generation who will have been radicalised now . There are bigger issues to confront to try and secure the future for that region.

One of the hostages, Maya Regev, has reportedly been taken to hospital in a "complex medical condition" but it doesn't seem that her life is in danger. She is 21 and was kidnapped from the music festival, where she was shot. Her brother is still a hostage I think.

I looked her up to see why she might have been released and she was shot at the festival (she rang her Dad), so hopefully some of the injured are making it onto the lists as well.

i really hope this starts to have a real momentum and prevents Israel returning to bombing. Hamas are gaining from it too so hopefully won’t want to end it either.

I saw today that Hanna Katzir who was released yesterday didn't know that her husband had been killed and her son kidnapped. Presumably they're being kept in small separate groups and I would imagine the men are kept separately to the women and children.

Another lady released yesterday thought her father was dead and discovered that he's believed to be a hostage so confirmation that the men are being kept separately. So presumably they won't know either if their wives/children are alive or dead

According to Palestinian Red Crescent said it received 187 trucks today, according to CNN, so still not hitting 200. I think there needs to be an effort to increase it.

Not sure how many trucks that would have required. I think that's where the 137 number comes from though, even though it's inaccurate.

Israel dropped fliers telling Palestinians not to head north. They know not to. However, Hamas have been telling them to all head home... Not sure concern for their peoples' safety is of any particular concern to Hamas.

I thought the aid issue was to do with opening another crossing, which I think was reported yesterday. The Guardian is reporting a tiny bit about the release of Palestinians, so looks like some made it out.

That's what I've been seeing as well. According to Israel, they have nothing to do with the distribution of aid. So not sure that's Israel's fault? (Although obviously it will still be considered so on MN 🤪)

Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong though, I'm just repeating what I've seen and heard. I'm by no means a verified source!
