Hamas are Palestinian nationalists with Shia support. ISIS want international Islamist domination, and are Sunni.

I don't think Hamas = ISIS. It's another terrorist faction, of which there are many. If we want to halt extremism in it's tracks, we need to start giving a shit about the people they are killing, torturing and raping all over the world, all the time. Western governments ignore it, because it happens to poor people in places in that don't "matter" - the acts of October 7th are far from unique. Sooner people realise this the better.

There are different types of Islamist. ISIS are exceptionally brutal, as well as being very open to slavery. I read that al-Qaeda were uncomfortable with ISIS, and didn't back them in Syria.

Islamic terrorists have the West in their sights, not just Jewish people. There are constant Jihadi attacks all over the world which don’t involve Jews (and obviously many that do) . Particularly in Africa. These get nothing like the international coverage should.

IF (if) Hamas does = ISIS, not all Muslims are the same. Obviously. ISIS doesn’t speak for all Muslims in the same way that the EDL doesn’t speak for all Brits.

Once it becomes clear that taking hostages works, that it gets terrorists what they want and no one really cares as it can so easily be justified, there will definitely be more groups who do it. They might not be Hamas but they will have been inspired by them. Just like Hamas has been inspired by Isis in some of their actions.

I don’t know. I do know that Hamas definitely want an Islamic Caliphate but I don’t know how widespread support in the rest of the Arab and Muslim world is for them.

Hamas absolutely are Isis. They have been very clear that they want an Islamic caliphate and they want Israel wiped off the map.

I am old enough to remember the PLO hijacking aeroplanes. 9/11 didn’t come out of nowhere. The PLO and Hamas are evil.
