Eddie Marsan was right - we only have to see the efforts by a few loud mouthed hatemongers on social media, Mumsnet included, though on here they do a better job than most of deleting the worst excesses

You'd think they'd learn from the constant deletions and I've always thought it better to report instead of giving them the oxygen of attention, but each to their own and all that

Most of the UK and US stands with Israel. I am Christian and a supporter of democracy and the state of Israel. I was not on the march as I don't do marches but I respect the rights of all people to protest within the law.

The largest gathering against antisemitism London had seen since the Battle of Cable Street in 1936, when hundreds of thousands of people blocked a planned march by Sir Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists through areas home to many Jewish families.

'I have so many friends and neighbours and people who contact me on social media saying they will take their mezuzahs off their doors, that they feel frightened, they feel isolated and alone.
'But we are not alone. We are a successful and flourishing multi-ethnic and multi-faith capital city of a multi-ethnic and multi-faith country.

'A tolerant democracy where all racism, including racism against Jews, is not tolerated.

'We have to call out antisemitism for what it is, it is an incitement to hatred, it is an incitement to divide.'"

Brilliant, united march that went off very peacefully. No hatred here and in complete contrast to the Pro-Palestinian marches with no hateful chants, placards or fireworks/flares/climbing on statues
