So you think Strarmer is motivated by his financial interest in Gaza gas that you don't know for sure exits or how much exists or if its worthwhile for anyone to even care about. What a strange thing to post on this particular thread. I can tell the difference between opinion and fact, I am simply questioning how you came to have that opinion because usually most intelligent people base an opinion on something, yours seems to be plucked from the air.

@Iwantcakeeveryday I don’t know exactly how much gas is there. As I have already said numerous times, I posted an opinion, a passing thought. Not a fact. Granted this thread probably isn’t the prime place for opinions but I was responding to another poster who asked why I thought Starmer would choose to sack MPs for voting a ceasefire.

If you really can’t tell the difference between an opinion and a fact, a thread on misinformation probably isn’t for you.

You did not address the misinformation at all, you ignored it and moved on to something else. Because you don't want to even acknowledge there is negative misinformation about Israel.

This was discussed by a poster here yesterday who had good knowledge of this so I am interested in how you actually come to the conclusion you have and why you'd post it on this particular thread.

I just want to be clear - the poster is spreading conspiracy theories and pretending it's just their own personal musings. It's not. It's a well-known conspiracy theory without any basis in fact. It therefore doesn't have any place here in a thread about misinformation being spread.

I'm confused @whatswrongwiththeworldddd once again by your thread. Its meant to be about misinformation? @noblegiraffe gave an example from the BBC which was quite blatant but you ignored that and shared an instagram link.

Obviously no politician is ever going to state “I don’t want a ceasefire because it means I won’t get my money”, and I can’t conceive any other logical reason for politicians trying to actively prevent other politicians from voting for a ceasefire.

The way you wrote it implied that individual politicians were taking bribes from Israel. Saying "I won't get my money" doesn't help your case in claiming it's about gas in Gaza unless you can point to specific politicians in this case having interests in that area?

As for Labour having a three line whip on Israel and backing Keir Starmer's stance .... it's a loyalty test. If you know anything about the recent history of the Labour Party, you might see why.

Did anyone see the findings of a list of the names Hamas soldiers that were guarding the hostages? Turned out to be a calendar for shift patterns in the hospital.

Misinformation is everywhere, all the time, no matter what “side” you are on. We have information in our hands these days to fact check; can you imagine how much shit we’ve been fed over the years without the resources to quickly verify that we have now?

You seem to have the wrong thread. The BBC was misquoting the Reuters report that they were referring to. It wasn't about 'reporting differently', it was about reporting incorrect information.
