The Met police managed the pro-Palestinian protestors perfectly fine with few officers yet had trouble managing the sheer thuggery from the far right who were small in comparison to the approximately 800,000 marchers but hell bent on causing trouble. She gave her opinion, which is not illegal (yet). Its fact that a thousand police on the streets cannot adequately police the actions of 100k people. If we don't have the resources to police these protests adequately, then they shouldnt take place....

Talking sense as in recognising that the police are not protecting people on our streets, by allowing the intimidation and antisemitic chants to take place on our streets every Saturday. Good on her to say what the majority think (minus MN posters of course...) Can you not even imagine how it must be for the Jewish community in London to be prisoners in their own homes because the police are not intervening? There is no confidence in their ability to protect the citizens of the UK currently.

I am not entirely clear from your answer, do you think the former Home Secretary was talking sense when she was urging the Met Police Commisioner to break the law last week?

The hypocritical "leaders" are just concerned about the optics as you put it. They don't think in terms of morality and sanctity of human life but in terms of election and vote and if the thousands being murdered daily impacts negatively or not on their political advancement. Disgusting.

Presumably if Cameron becomes Foreign Secretary they still need someone pretty heavyweight to be Foreign Office spokesman in the Commons.
