This is the latest from the guardian. It's extremely upsetting to read. I pray there is some miracle and they are saved

Dr Mohamed Tabasha, head of the paediatric department at al-Shifa hospital, has spoken to Reuters in a telephone interview. He told the news agency:
Yesterday I had 39 babies and today they have become 36. I cannot say how long they can last. I can lose another two babies today, or in an hour. I never expected in my life that I would put 39 babies side by side on a bed, each with a different disease, and in this acute shortage of medical staff, of milk.He told Reuters that the infants are too cold, and the temperature is not stable because of power cuts. In the absence of infection control measures, they are transmitting viruses to each other and they have no immunity, he said.
He said there was no longer any way of sterilising their milk and bottle teats to the required standard, and as a result, some had contracted gastritis and were suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting, which meant an acute risk of dehydration.

Anyone have any news on the 36 babies? Poor little mites, surrounded by war and death. They are a small part of the suffering, but can't get them out of my mind.

I don’t know if you guys went to the march but I really recommend going to the next one. It was incredibly emotional being there with such a large group of people who feel the same way (I cried - more than once); it stops you feel like you’re going insane watching the most inexcusable, vile atrocities being committed whilst people wait to respond with their clipboard of excuses, because all of a sudden you realise just how many other people are seeing what you’re seeing.

I walked shoulder to shoulder with people of all ages and walks of life. I hope that the people of Gaza who are suffocating in a man-made hell have seen how many of us came out for them.

The Associated Press has this update on al-Shifa hospital, where the last generator ran out of fuel Saturday, leading to the deaths of three premature babies and four other patients, according to the Health Ministry.

It said another 36 babies are at risk of dying.

Israel’s military asserted it placed 300 liters (79 gallons) of fuel near Shifa overnight for an emergency generator powering incubators for premature babies and coordinated the delivery with hospital officials. “Sadly, they haven’t taken the fuel yet,” spokesperson Lt. Col. Richard Hecht said. He said if this fuel doesn’t work, they will seek “other solutions for the babies.”

A Health Ministry spokesperson, Ashraf al-Qidra, told Al Jazeera the fuel would not be enough to operate the generator an hour. “This is a mockery towards the patients and children,” Al-Qidra said.

From WHO this morning, after losing communications with its contacts at Al Shifa:

Patients seeking health care should never be exposed to fear, and health workers who have taken an oath to treat them should never be forced to risk their own lives to provide care.

WHO calls again for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza as the only way to save lives and reduce the horrific levels of suffering.

Hospitals, patients, health staff, and persons sheltering in health facilities are protected under the Geneva Conventions and International Humanitarian Law.

And now you will say ' they shouldn't have stopped giving them fuel in the first place' although this negates the fuel they are given that's then taken by Hamas.

They offered a solution as is removing the patients and doctors. They are resolute in riding Gaza of Hamas as no one should have to leave under terror.

I agree - there is a total unwillingness from those defending genocide and the validity of Palestinian deaths to actually confront the reality of Israel. There is little to no critical discourse on its violent creation, forced displacement and ongoing terror. There is just a simple blame on every corner -

Arab stated for not allowing Israel to just be created in joy and happiness
Palestinians for never wanting peace
Gazans for supporting Hamas, from the day they were born (or even just from fertilisation in the womb)
UN and Amnesty for being Anti Semitic for calling Israel an apartheid state
All hospitals churches, mosques, bakeries, all being hamas hotspots
If not Hamas, then Hezbollah, or west bank radicals
babies and children and dead people simply dressed up in paint and dramatic clothes to inflate death tolls
Civilians and journalists all being mouth pieces for hamas and saying whatever hamas dictates
All callers for ceasefire being imbeciles who don't know what they talking about
Medical organisations that have been speaking about Israels contribution to breakdown in Gazas infrastructure for years
Doctors being too busy working to realise their hospitals are actually fronts for Hamas
Holocaust survivors, anti Zionist Jews, as being self hating or misled people

Its constant. There is absolutely zero critical thinking or human empathy. It's futile having any conversations here.

@Stomacharmeleon I know it's upsetting but the way I see it can also be two possibilities

1. The doctors who Hamas take to treat the hostages don't really have a choice (again Hamas, I'm sure they don't fancy saying no to them)

1. Doctors take an oath to preserve all life. I'm sure they would not even want to say no to saving or treating innocent lives of the people who find themselves in a horrendous situation, they are innocent people

It would be much worse if they died a preventable death would it not.

This….they don’t need to move those poor babies, they just need to turn the power and water on, but they won’t get the propaganda coverage for that will they.
