The cenotaph and poppy sellers

Hi, would anyone mind explaining to me why the media seems to be portraying that remembrance commemorations are being targeted by pro-palestinian protests? I don't really know enough to know how the two things are linked.

Just seen the footage of right wing protestors trying to kick off at the Cenotaph, just before a service at 11:00. they're also being troublesome just off Parliament Square (currently being kettled near Portcullis House).

The march for Palestine is passing without incident.

They're apparently (according to SKY) trying to find routes across to Hyde Park, and being prevented by police from moving on to any roads that might take them to the route.

I think they're a fucking disgrace.

OTOH today also saw the Lord Mayor's Show which was a celebration of diversity

Poor police - having two major events to deal with anyhow, and then twats like the EDF turning up

Exactly @PurpleChrayne. So frustrating. The majority of these posters don’t have to actually face up to this intimidatory bullshit shutting down their streets, filling up tubes and chanting slogans in public transport on our way to work. They’ve got no idea how intimidating it is for ordinary people getting on with their lives. Let alone how frightening it must be for Jewish Londoners.

“Peaceful” - are these posters having a laugh or just deliberately blind to the chanting of terrorist slogans, intimidation of anyone not joining them.

Anyway, since they are there to protect the cenotaph, Tommy Robinson has led them up to Chinatown. This will surely not lead to issues.

Well they could let the Far Left have a go but they would capitulate even more so than the police. I've made a note about the reaction from the police here and will be comparing it to how they react to the trouble makers from the march today. So thanks for uploading the footage. Good job my fellow citizens weren't throwing fireworks at the police.
