@SomeCatFromJapan I don't know much about weapons but the UN have asked today for an investigation in which weapons are being used in urban areas. With a serious concern of high impact weapons which would amount to large civilian deaths

Unfortunately the death toll now exceeds 11 thousand with 4506 child death
This does not take into account those unfortunate deaths that are still under the rubble
It can't be emphasised enough how desperately a ceasefire is needed right now

There are very real concerns of indiscriminate bombing which has resulted in such a great civilian toll
This can no longer be dismissed as some sort of propaganda

I'm not sure what to make of things like this - it was something that was/is regularly brought up about the Trump rallies and people being 'bussed' in to swell the crowds

If you're providing expensive transport over large distances [as is the case of the US] in order to get your supporters there it can look like you're paying people to attend rather than just making it possible for them to attend

A pro Israel organisation are offering to pay students $250 in 'expenses' to attend a pro Israel march in Washington on the 14th. Kind of embarrassing that they need to pay people to attend.

They have paid people (often students) to push pro Israeli viewpoint on social media and forums for over a decade.

This is verified by the bbc etc, not just rumour. Of course when I put up a thread about it on here MN deleted it for being speculation despite me lining to the bbc verified article.

I've been getting it for weeks now. Every time I watch something on YouTube one of their ads comes up multiple times. I've heard they've spent a massive amount of money on the ad campaign.

Some poster said some ig accounts have said they’ve been offered money to support Israel so probably there is money injected in sponsoring these news

For anyone wanting to learn more about the history of the crisis, I recommend the David McWilliams podcast - he has a 3 part series. It’s not unbiased - he is very anti the Israeli administration- but he lived in Israel and it’s an interesting viewpoint from an economist’s point of view.

Also the today in focus podcast from the Guardian has loads including an interviews with the hostages families.
