I think that's the whole point - Hamas want their 6000 hostages back, held on administrative detention indefinitely with no rights.

This is what has started to worry me. If Destroy Hamas means destroy a terrorist organisation. If Destroy it's infrastructure means destroy the tunnels and gen points. Then that's all fine.

BUT is Hamas a distinct organisation with set members? Or has it got very fuzzy edges. I suspect the Israeli government means Hamas the organisation, those who voted for them in 2006, those who might have voted for them because they were alive them, all those who support them now, or might or might in the future... That is why marches in London are described as support of Hamas. I suspect Hamas is being used to equal Palastinian.

Hamas, being the Government of Gaza, owns all the infrastructure - including schools, hospitals and everything else the country needs to function. Destroy Hamas infrastructure I suspect is being used to mean destroy the country and everything in it.

Basically - the Israeli government wants to wipe out Gaza and all its people. That is what they mean by wiping out Hamas and destroying its infrastructure.

@WatTyler why is the south being bombed too? No where is safe, imagine you being trapped in a city with no running water or electricity I highly doubt you’d be jumping up and down asking for the bombs to keep coming or would you be considered anti- Semitic too for wanting the bombing to stop

The war will continue until either Hamas is wiped out and its infrastructure destroyed, or Hamas release all hostages, return the bodies of those they have already killed and lay down their arms. The second situation is very unlikely, so the fighting will continue.
Any non-combatants who remain in the north and are caught up in the fighting despite being told to move south have made their own decision to risk their lives.
Israel will not stop fighting just because the unanimous voices of the world's anti-Semites tell them to.

With the Israeli government/IDF and Hamas both being proven, prolific liars time and time again, I wouldn't bank on it. I don't think either is acting with a great deal of sanity, either.

For the record: various independent organisations have repeatedly stated that, generally speaking, casualty and mortality figures out of the Gaza Health Ministry are, generally speaking, reliable! Every reputable news organisation has checked this by now!

It's beyond belief that those in power stand back and let it happen. Shame on every world leader who stays silent. Those who support the IDF also have blood on their hands. Complicit in the war crimes, in my mind.

And the number of murdered and displaced in the West Bank is rising daily too. A genocide before our very eyes, Israel will not stop until Palestine is eradicated from Palestinians.
