There isn't any justification for the acts that were carried out. None. Attempting to do so is grotesque.

And no, the subsequent bombing of Gaza does not render those acts any less grotesque.

The terrorist attack hadn't occurred before 7 October. This is the inevitable response, it's a giant horrific fucking waste of all the lives lost.

Note King Charles III has just made an apology over Britain’s colonial past, while on tour in Kenya.

The Mau Mau were a Kenyan guerilla army which the UK at the time branded “terrorists” for resisting colonial rule, or occupation. Now we are apologising.

The British created camps for people suspected of being associated with the Mau Mau, including the elderly and children, and used methods of extreme torture to limit uprisings. Over one million Kenyans were forcibly removed from their homes and put into the camps.
