Any information about the demonstrations being held today, Saturday 28 October?

Just that really. I want to join those asking for an end/ ceasefire. BBC reporting that there are demonstrations in London and Manchester but I can’t find any information online TIA

so where does your comment come from for saying half of those attending yesterdays march support a terrorist group ? Apart from your aim to derail this thread with false accusations?

I don't dispute this, still a low number of offences when HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS who attended. HATE crimes are public order offences, and can range from hateful abuse to very minor conduct, very subjective as relies on perception. In the current pro Israeli government police are under a lot of scrutiny and have to make example to appease the home secretary who will appease other " forces" and daily mail etc. I don't excuse violence especially on our police, if two officers were unfortunately assaulted, still low number as HUNDREDS of officers were on duty to cover this protest. Just my opinion others may disagree.

finlesswonder do you know where else in the world people where chanting hate speech and threatening with violence ? In Israel , Israeli were chanting “Death to Arabs” in Netanya and trying to break down gate to attack Palestinian students.

wow! Half of them marching not for peace !!!
So around 250k?
Streets must have been in absolute carnage !

Even if people held up signs of watermelons ,which is a symbol of the Palestinian flag , people like you , would still complain and throw accusations around like fundamentalism to shut down anything that highlights what’s happening in Gaza right now.

I saw it on Twitter so I totally accept it might be a wrong number. However im not challenging you on your info about 100k but your other half of the sentence. And no this thread is not full of assumptions but full of info of where the demos are happening apart from a few comments that have tried to derail the actual info about the demos

But that's not actually true. The arab Palestinians have massacred their Jewish neighbours for years before the state of Israel was declared. Can't remember them all offhand but look up the Hebron massacre of 1929. The Jews were definitely not "stealing their land" then.
The Jews also didn't steal land in 1948. They were attacked by the Palestinians as well as the surrounding arab nations and then won the war. The war which they hadn't started.
As per all historical wars. If a country won a war they then owned the land they won.
And remember they didn't actually start the war. They only won it.

There may have been some incidents of this palestinian hostilities towards jews. But a lot has been inflated to lessen the burden and guilt on jewish consciencesness. I agree that jews had been persecuted in other countries but unfortunately discrimination was rife globally against all minorities. Refer also to other sources for historical landscape re this subject and not just Israeli propaganda.

Perhaps they could, but asking a population and it’s supporters to want normalcy with a population who think it had a God given right to take over, steal and occupy the land that they had lived on peacefully for generations is a pretty big ask.

Yes, this will become an issue for Israel in future. Just watched BBC news and a male relative of hostages being a spokesperson saying (paraphrasing) ‘We know that they are hostages of Hamas, and we know that as of yesterday they are alive. We now want the (Israeli) government to come talk to us about how they are going to keep them alive’ . The subtext was definitely that they are holding the Israeli government responsible from this point onwards.

I think quite a few of the hostages' families would also like a ceasefire, and to focus on returning their loved ones. I believe the aim of the march today was to call for a ceasefire.

Yes, it's a bit mad that the hostages don't seem to be Israel's focus right now! Desperately sad.
