jews appear less visible as mainly of white appearance , better off, more educated and a strong position yet we are fed that anti semitism has gone up by ten folds since October 7th. Most of this is jews taking offence to social media posts where people are expressing opinions against actions of Israel and not personally attacking jewish individuals.

Wow! We’re not even hiding it anymore are we? How could these Jewish people be in anyway persecuted when they are ………. drum roll …….. white 😱and rich!!!

Stopactingsosmall · 29/10/2023 08:58

Thousand apologies if I sound very confused, I acknowledge and can draw a distinction between real anti semitism and perceived anti semitism engineered in some peopes minds. A lot of communities are becoming more aware with some people crying anti semitism based on their perception and taking offence to others criticism of Israel.

etmoietmoietmoi · 29/10/2023 08:47

@Stopactingsosmall
Just my thoughts, no offence intended to anyone. There is a lot of islamphobia and anti semitism, the Muslims are more visible minority , stick out more due to their skin colour, religious attire etc, jews appear less visible as mainly of white appearance , better off, more educated and a strong position yet we are fed that anti semitism has gone up by ten folds since October 7th. Most of this is jews taking offence to social media posts where people are expressing opinions against actions of Israel and not personally attacking jewish individuals. The media adds to well established narrative that jews are under attack or at risk of, which makes jewish people feel psychologically more vulnerable and feel under attack and makes them hyper vigilant.

"No offence intended to anyone" you say, just before you launch a smorgasbord of antisemitic tropes.

Not only that, you sound very confused. On the one hand "there is a lot of....antisemitism" yet on the other "most of this is Jews taking offence".

'just my thoughts, no offence meant...'

Yet you have trotted out almost every antisemitic trope in the book your post:

Read Jews Don't Count. Read the International definition of antisemitism. This IS offensive. Offensive to me.

Also do you have a hotline to the police that somehow means that you have been told personally that 'most' reports of antisemitism are related to social media posts against Israel? Seriously. As if people like me would have the time to report anti every Israel social media post.

@Stopactingsosmall which by the way I have never done. I have personally protested about the right wing Israeli government. So this is NOT about people criticising that. It is about people like you making sweeping statements about "the Jews"

This too, absolutely.
Whipping up fear and anger in the many Jewish people who might try to oppose Israel’s disgusting behaviour. Keep them in line so the murder and land/oil grab can proceed.

I actually think all the religious/"person on street" dialogue is all hot air.

People like the ones who have, and will sadly be killed are just being used as pawns.

Some people and organisations (whether they have Muslim or Jewish or Christian names or labels) are, and will be, getting VERY rich on the back of these actions. We probably don't and will never know who most of them are.

They're the ones owning streets in London and penthouses in New York. They have media connections, so of course they can control information flows.

The noisy annoying bloke attending a demonstration or the uncouth settlers captured on film can be the easy scapegoat.

"Women's rights" or "minority rights" only start being publicised when the profit lies in wanting to attack a country or start conflict.

Yeh, everyone suddenly gives a shit about the Uighurs "right to authentically practice Islam". Nothing to do with a trade war with China.

Irans women's rights are suddenly VERY encouraged and important (bear in mind we could take footage from ANY country and edit it and use it as proof that country is collapsing and others should intervene).

If Iran is destabilised in a "colour revolution" (paid for by the USA) who the fuck is going to be taking responsibility for women's safety in the anarchy that follows a collapse of state?

But some "feminists" behind a keyboard in other nations will be banking plenty money from the conflict.

A defence ministers daughter can set up a charity to "Support Iranian Women's Education" and get a cushy role for life and a gong and awards.

How much have defence and weapons stocks risen over the last five years? Who profited from the Afghanistan mess? I think one senior military officer described his job as a "thug for Wall Street".

There's lots of mining companies and aid agency presidents and Directors of NGO funds laughing all the way to the bank, as working class british kids collect their lunch money to help the starving kids they see on the TV.

It's not just the "token bad guys with guns" as well.

Lots of big organisations, charities, "aid companies"...there's so much money in refugees and conflict, they NEED it to keep going.

How much money has flowed into Ukraine, on a tide of publicity and goodwill, to rebuild cities that has just "gone somewhere"?

How much money is being corruptly diverted for the "green" agenda right now? Put "Environment" on it and that's a few million if you're in the right place.

Solidarity goes out of the window for ultra rich people.

I reckon there's "civilised looking" people ostenibly on Israels "side" who profited from those murdered settlers, just as there are "civilised looking" people on the Palestinan "side" profiting from kids being murdered in Gaza.

They'll be sleeping well whilst everyone else is getting worked up and horrified.

The Daily Mail hated Jews for a while, then it was Poles, now its onto brown people. All profit.

And the profits rack up for the owners (and yes, there will be rich Jewish, and Muslim, and Polish people who would and will happily dine with the Rothermeres).

You’ve absolutely summed it up for me.

i’m not sure what you are saying - that every Palestinian would murder gay people ? So they should be killed? No I don’t agree with anyone who murders anyone else but there is a sense of othering here in your views that is at the very essence of racism. Apparently , you think, all Palestinian’s are murderers, bloodthirsty - so at odd with western values that a common ground could not be found, I don’t agree.

I said that too but I was told I don’t understand this thread.

'London jihad demo leader is NHS doctor: Islamic extremist's double life as a suburban GP is exposed

As head of Hizb ut-Tahrir in the UK, Abdul Wahid celebrated the barbaric Hamas terror attacks that slaughtered 1,400 Jewish men, women and children earlier this month as a 'very welcome punch on the nose' to Israel.

But he has also spent more than 20 years practising as a family doctor under his real name, Dr Wahid Asif Shaida.

Last night his shocked patients in the London suburb of Harrow said they had no idea about the double life of their well-spoken, privately educated GP.
Hizb ut-Tahrir caused outrage last weekend when members chanted 'jihad' during a rally outside the Egyptian and Turkish embassies in London and called for 'Muslim armies' to attack Israel.'

(Getting very disturbing that a lot of the worse offenders here are doctors. The NHS needs to start looking seriously at this)

Israel is a US proxy then if we are going to define proxy by who sends money and arms to the region. If even the US can’t control Israel, then neither can Iran control Hamas, Hezbollah and so on.

Ukraine would also be our (U.K. and EU) proxy against Russia then too? Given the money and tanks and whatnot we have all sent to that war.

Are proxies simply the disenfranchised & expendable being exploited by bigger super powers?

Now you are getting to something more interesting

Basically yes what you have posted is correct in slightly different ways than you mean but basically you are on the right track

For example Israel/Gaza conflict is currently American verse Iran battle ground. There is exsteme Islamic desire to not have a Jewish state in the middle east. However the main goal for Iran is to have a go at America and try to undermine it.

Poor Ukraine is the battle ground between the west and Russia. They are suppose to stop Putin expanding into Europe. However Putin says he is stopping Nato expand. Ever way Ukraine is the battle ground

This has happened a lot in history bigger nations using small ones as a place to fight their enemy

Israel is only the size of Wales and gaza Venice. Yet bemused by the big guys and exsteme Islamics.

It’s a bit like confusing Canadians with Mexicans.

Hanas is Iran backed etc etc etc

Something that everyone involved knows including Hamas and Iran

Gazans are not Iran backed. Quite the opposite oin fact. They are Iran opposed by Hamas.

You were saying you would turn a blind eye to murdering a gay person because that is someone else's belief. I said I am OK with different beliefs but that is something I am not OK at ignoring.

You seem to have a problem of putting people in a box. Whether that be posters on mumsnet, Jews, Palestinians or Muslims. You seem to think they all have the same views as each other and that view is whatever you have heard on social media or feel is correct yourself. I can't imagine you dealing with different types of people and cultures in real life. You seem very unopen minded at should probably watch the Tim Minchin video I posted a link too. It would do you a world of good if you manage to understand it that is.

What's the fascination with Iran? Israel and western media always highlighting issues in Iran. There are other countries too which breach human rights but never get a mention. Just Iran. Who assassinated Iranian commander few years ago by drone strike , the USA and Israel were behind it. How do they get away with it and still itching to have a war with Iran. Human rights concerns is just a pretext.

It is because the Iran regime are documented to be paying Hamas millions every month. This is factual and Iran admits to doing it.

Iran helped train the fighters for the pogrom. Videos were released by Hamas showing themselves getting training from Iran experts

Police in the UK said yesterday that the pro paletine protests have had know Iran agents appearing to promote unrest (No idea if that one is true but I am sure this will get investigated by independent squat some point)

Basically Hamas as everyone knows is Iran backed and does take a poop unless Iran tells them too. Everything big that has happened Iran has been involved in. You can't really talk much about Hamas without mentioning Iran. They are the hand that feeds and controls.

Aside from the Israeli and Palestinians issues I agree with you plenty of other horrible regimes out there

Though the poor girl that got put in a coma by Iran morality police has just died. Therefore the Iran regime is probably in most peoples thought for evilness outside the whole Israel thing at the moment
