You have a very odd logic

People hear can't do much about what happens in the middle east. What people hear can do is stop hate crimes and incitement to violence in this country. The kind of environment that causes divine in communities does not happen overnight. It builds up over time. People that spread hate whether that be antisemitism or any other hate crime need to be tackled before the rot is considered normal.

Plus this was not one in a crowd of 100k. There was plenty of vile hateful chanting and bubbling of joy at the events. I am only showing the ones the police are particularly wanting to trace. And some iffy doctors and lawyers posting joy at a massacre etc. Frankly the thread is not big enough to name and same the amount of hate speeches posted on social media or made during the march.

You can be in denial all you like about a large percentage of the protesters motives for attending. However a most the general public in this country are not so blind or singular minded. People are appauled at the loss of life in Gaza but they won't stand for people wanting to spread hate and division in this country.

From what I hear some other unpleasant stuff was said before they got filmed too

The police have found and arrested the two women that were behind this now. They were identified by members of public and names given to the police.

The general public at least under they need to act and not hide these people.

Just want to add that yes I know Somali Muslims in particular have often been taught alsorts of bad things about Jews. However I live in a community which has a lot of Somali Muslims. Some can at first if not been around many Jews before. However I find once they are around Jews they soon realise some things taught are not correct and we get on great. The Somali in my bit of London have a lot of prejudice against them and this is something they can connect with Jews about. We actually have a lot in common in many ways with Muslim in general. I have had many debates in real life about similarities. One of my Somali neighbours uses the Kosher butcher because it is cheaper for some meat cuts.

I really wish that was the case

I prefer the short bursts you get for a bit where people can have an actual conversation

Unfortunately these threads get derailed by small groups of people who want to kill debate or whatabout everything. Especially if it doesn't fit their own agenda / narrative

We had the same in 2021 conflict

We had the same over lockdown

We had the same over vaccinations

This is just unfortunately how some people are. It is about Jews on this thread mostly. However that isn't always the case. Derailing conversations is just what people do if they can't win an argument or don't want others to believe factual information etc

People talking about real hate crimes that have been happening seems to be something you want to derail. Frankly that is iffy considering you could post on a number of threads currently available.

You asked a question. I gave you a basic historical context of how it started. Something that it was obvious I was doing. Because I literally said do some research or pick up a book

After that it is up to you to answer your own question. I give you a clue. Even in places like Israel it didn't start in 1948. There were massacres, riots, rapes and torture of Jews on the land way before Israel declared a state.

Anyway this isn't the thread for all that conversation. No need to derail a thread because you have no knowledge of Jews, antisemitism or whatever.

Pick up a book or do some online research from a wide variety of sources

Tell Mama, which does the same for Islamophobia, recorded 291 incidents of anti-Muslim hate between 7 and 19 October, a six fold increase on the same period last year."

This will not even be anywhere near the number of incidents that have occurred in both groups. From experience personally and at work in London I know most crimes like these never get reported. Often even if physical. Neither group thinks the police and society as a whole take these crimes seriously so don't report to the police or even to their own support and collection groups. What we are hearing figure wise will be the tip of the iceberg and in the next 18 months that the ground assault of the conflict will take, things are likely to get worse hate crime wise.
