‘Keep The World Clean’

The thing that most disturbed me in the policing of this issue was the event where the police told the Jewish organisation, who were driving around London in a van displaying images of the kidnapped children, to turn off their signs and go away. It was the police doing what was easiest rather than what was right.

The anti-Jewish hate really concerns me. I worry when DH speaks Hebrew to our children. DC1 goes to a senior school with a large Muslim population. Should he conceal his heritage? It might be sensible.

It shouldn't be this way.

I was talking to my brother about the protesters with parachutes/ gliders pinned to their Backs and he told me they can't be arrested with them on their backs as they can say someone pinned it there.

I am worried deeply about the way things are being 're-framed' and the rise of anti-Semitic hate. I know that medical student was in Poland but there has been hugely questionable banners and placards in London and our police seem unwilling to challenge it. The sheer scale of 'celebs' and b list wannabes suddenly becoming experts on geo politics is truly alarming.

The condemnation of Hamas is like an afterthought..... terror apologists. It's really made me think about this country as a whole and what we don't see. Jew hatred is leaking out of every pore for some in society at the moment dressed up as 'outrage'.

The same poster (well, not exactly the same, but a smaller version with the same text and image) was also held up in London the other day. It's utterly terrifying.

Nah I don't believe you. I've heard the chants of "from the river to the sea", seen people with parachute drawings pinned to their clothes. These marches are antisemitic as these people are supporting and/or calling for the destruction of Israel. Nasty racists.

Because as Keir Starmer and the police have pointed out to the government there are gaps in our British laws that allow this. These types of people know they can get away with this legally.

Whether universities and employers want to take action is something else. They make you sign contacts that you won't act in a way that would make them look bad etc. So the law cannot touch some of these people but they could get kicked out of jobs or universities.

I will just be completely honest.

Anyone who genuinely actually cares about "human rights" or freedom for Palestinian people would be protesting that their actual government:

Have not had an election since 2006!
Spend all their aid money on terrorism instead of water, food, medicine
Radicalise their young people to terrorism instead of helping them get a start
Deprive them of human rights across the board
Oppress any dissent by force
Deliberately use them as human shields and treat their lives as worthless
Refuse to discuss any peaceful solutions and have for 100 years

There is no way to possibly advocate for Palestinian rights without acknowledging they are under an oppressive, deranged, murderous government who are in large part responsible for their plight.

So sure, protest everything Israel does wrong - the occupation is wrong, this over-reaction and senseless killing is also wrong. Protest the fuck out of that.

But if you try and act like Israel is to blame for Palestinians lacking human right then you're either an idiot, or you're doing what you're doing to kick Israel - rather than to bona fide try and help Palestinian people.

I cried watching the faces of those Palestinian children.

But their own leaders and their own countrymen did what they did LAUGHING while they did it, celebrating, videoing it and acting like it was righteous and the will of G-d. They knew very well it would result in the loss of probably thousands of their own children's lives and they did it anyway.

The positively revel in this. It's a win / win / win / win for them.

Kill a load of Jews? GREAT!
Have a load of lefties and celebrities around the world applaud them? GREAT!
A load of their citizens and kids die? WHO CARES?

That is the honest truth. So anyone who wants to actually help Palestinians genuinely needs to stop playing right into Hamas' hands.

They are not freedom fighters, this is not resistance and Palestinian and Jewish lives are worth the same, and the terror and burning of Jewish babies is never some romanticised Jihadi statement of freedom. It is evil on earth.

The best possible thing for Palestinians would be to overthrow their own leaders, sit down at a peace table, negotiate a peace deal and then get on with rebuilding the lives of these people!

Calling for Jihad or death to Jews is not freedom!

Anyway, people really need to educate themselves when it comes to this conflict- what it is and what it is not. What they can say and what they shouldn't conflate.

@PurpleChrayne I fear this will all be old news soon as cyclical violence tends to be. So many will forget, and not care about the women and children anymore and that is mostly the problem is it not?

I wonder what the police would have done if people carried signs the other way round - keep the world clean and then a muslim in a bin? As long as both view points are treated the same way I don't have a problem and I believe in free speech but this conflict is certainly showing how many people in the UK are anti Israel.

Would having a placard saying 'withdraw settlements', 'end military rule', 'out with Bibi', 'end occupation in WB' also be suitable in a protest/march?

I can understand many are asking for peace, but I also understand that some in the marches are trying to highlight the oppression Palestinians are suffering from; in Gaza and WB (therefore not solely down to Hamas)

I have, naively, always associated this kind of sentiment with far right extremism.

I foolishly, and in retrospect allowed myself to be utterly brainwashed into believing that the left were too progressive for racism. How wrong I was.

Trying to compute what I am seeing with whom I am seeing doing it, has really changed how I see and view the world. Never did I ever think I would hear women defend the raping of women and mutilation of children. My eyes have been opened. Europe suddenly does not feel as safe as I once thought it was.

I honestly just don't buy into that.

I think if you want to protest for peace, you do exactly that.

Take placards calling for peace for ALL.

Demand hostages are released
Demand a ceasefire
Demand aid for Gaza.

Demand Hamas cease terrorist activity

What I saw was just anti Israel and tacit support from a lot of people from really horrifying acts of terror.

They don't just do nothing. It's worse than that.

I guarantee if there was someone standing next to her with an Israeli flag, they would consider this woman branding this genocidal antisemitic message as the "good one" and the Israeli supporter as the "bad one". Such is their prejudice they have now lost all ability to see right from wrong.

Hence here so many of them are reframing burning babies, rape and cold blooded murder of innocent civilians as "resistance". There is no form of "resistance" that actually looks anything like that, but their prejudice against the ole star of David is now so deeply ingrained, we have almost become monsters in their eyes - undeserving of even basic empathy.

I have watched antisemitism creeping into the mainstream, particularly via the "anti imperial" left (who don't understand what imperialism is) and it's been a slow but powerful process.

Bit by bit, each person contributes their little bit - subtle, but chip chip chip of sharing blatantly antisemitic words, images and ideas to millions via social media and making it en vogue to persecute Jews again, and it works rather like advertising.

It poisons the minds of people to generally dehumanise Jewish people to a point this woman is standing in the middle of a protest in broad daylight - purportedly advocating for HUMAN RIGHTS, whilst brandishing a sign that Goebbels himself might have felt too direct.

And I saw the video of her on Twittter explaining herself, and she has not the slightest clue what she is talking about. It's clear she keeps looking at her friend for instructions for what to say. It's clear she hasn't even got the most basic information needed to have any kind of opinion at all. Yet here she is, believing herself to be actually virtue signalling because the left wing have "made antisemitism great again".

And I am left wing myself!

This is how the majority of the population of this world was convinced for millennia that Jews were evil, bad, worthy of all the hate - simply by everyone just going along with it. How they don't feel icky, I will never know.

I am actually in shock by the almost immediate acceptance (and ignoring) of antisemitic rehetoric in these marches.

How on earth, in Europe, has this happened? I feel like I’ve woken up 100 years in the past. I almost can’t believe what I’m seeing.
