I appreciate and understand what you’re saying. On a day to day basis however the Palestinians have to contend with checkpoints and the violence of IDF towards everyone. Their homes and land is constantly being stolen and they have no way to improve their lives because they are having to rehome displaced families and rebuild every year after Israel has bombed them. This situation didn’t start in October. It has gone on for decades and Palestinians are dealing with an Apartheid regime. The carpet bombing and use of phosphorus bombs is also abhorrent. The Palestinians literally have nothing left to lose and they’ve had enough of this treatment

Tbf I can see why no one wants Hamas to enter. How could you know the intentions and background of each person seeking refuge.

Their barbarity is so great you’d not risk it.

And your posts are brilliant too, thank you for consistently and calmly explaining the actual history and reality of this conflict. But the people arguing with you don't want to listen to reality, they have a fixed view based on Hamas propaganda and facts are not part of their narrative.

Are Hamas still firing rockets at Israel? Are you expecting Israel to just sit there and be bombed by Hamas following the atrocities? Where are the rocket launchers? The problem is Hamas using the Gaza people as human shields.

I think this hypocrisy needs to change, no one wants to help Palestinian refugees. I haven't seen one country welcoming refugees from Palestine. And it's purely because of the Hamas decease, no one wants to see it. All of the Arab countries behind the close doors support Israel in eradicating Hamas.

I am Jewish, and I disagree with what the current government is doing, it is inhumane - regardless of the heinous attacks, spilling more innocent blood is wrong. And I disagree with many other actions by the Israeli government.

But I stand fully with Israel.

It has every bit as much right to exist as Palestine does.

And if Palestinians had accepted Israel any time in the last 75 years, there would be peace and prosperity for all.

Is it fair some people lost homes and land? Nope. But more Jews did than Palestinians.

And furthermore it was not the Jews who refused to live in multicultural equality. They were not given that option and their moral right to live in freedom and equality in their ancestral home is every bit as valuable as any Muslims.

"Free Palestine" is a meaningless statement.

Palestinians are living under a brutally oppressive, jihadi regime with no rights of any kind. They are terrorised by their own government, they are imprisoned without trial and any dissent results in death. Citizens are used as human shields, by a group of possibly the most barbaric terrorists the planet has ever seen.

The idea that this horrific regime would segue from decapitating babies and spunking aid money on weapons to offering "freedom" to anybody is objectively ridiculous.

Furthermore, Palestinians have been offered their own state five times and each time have declined the offer, as they will not accept Jews also having a state. What people are protesting for, they have rejected.

So if you want to protest for anything, protest for Palestinians to accept a two state solution and embrace democratic government, freedom and human rights for their own people. Stop pretending Israel has ever prevented either of these things.

Palestinians are not in an :open air prison:. They have an enormous open border with Egypt and the only reason they can't move freely is because Egypt won't allow it.

However, Israel cannot allow free movement because Hamas use that freedom to murder Jews. Israel cannot allow free movement of uninspected goods, because Hamas sneak in weapons and materials to kill Jews. Hamas hide in no way that this is their sole intent.

Israel do many wrong things, no question, but "free Palestine" is meaningless.

For Palestinians to be free, they need leaders who offer them freedom and protect their human rights. They need leaders who are interested in peaceful resolution rather than murdering Jews.

As someone said, if Palestinians lay down weapons and accept Israel, then peace is possible. If Israel laid down weapons, it would mean annihilation.

Arguing for "freeing" people to deranged, terrorist, jihadis who opress, murder and terrorise their own people and refuse peaceful negotiations is completely illogical.

Just to clarify. I DO NOT JUSTIFY ANY TYPE OF VIOLENCE. I am arguing to stop the fighting and Palestinians losing their homes. The use of phosphorus bombing has to stop.
