Hi

I've been using FF since last November and they don't always show a clear pattern, although FF always gives me cross hairs. Some of these months though, I know I've not OVd because of blood test results. You can have a look if you like, my charts are here my charts (hope the link works, it's the first time I've tried to do one!)

I know I OVd in Jan as I got a BFP (had a m/c a few days later) and I know from blood tests that I didn't OV in Feb or March....I think I did in April and May as my charts look 'normal' those 2 months, but don't think I did in June or July. Confusing or what?!

I've used OPKs the last 2 months - in July I got 4 +ves on the trot and then run out, but don't think I OVd, and this month I got 2 +ves and think I OVd on the second day. Phew, that was hard work!!

So it's just a case of wait and see....again

HandbagAddiction · 22/08/2005 13:36

Madigan the OPKs detect an increase in your LH levels which show that you are getting ready to ovulate - but just because your LH levels rise, it doesn't necessarily follow that you your ovary will release an egg. Does that make sense?

So - I too have a concern that I'm not actually ovulating each month - have also had the same blood tests as you too. This month, I'm going to try taking my temparature too as that way if my temp rises, then it would confirm whether I had actually ov'd or not.

Madigan · 22/08/2005 13:31

Hi Loubie

Well, let's hope you get your BFP this month ... fingers all crossed for you ...

would be interested to know whether the only way you can tell you have ov'd is by blood tests? did you use OPKs too? I have a feeling I do not ov every month, but do get positive readings on OPKs.

milosmum · 22/08/2005 13:27

hi everyone- hope u r all ok!

Debs- hows things? thinking of you......

welcome to babymaybe....

Loubie37 · 22/08/2005 13:22

Hi Madigan

Sorry for jumping to conclusions - I hope your progesterone results come back high and that AF stays away.

Of course I don't mind you asking how old I am - I'm 37. I feel a bit guilty sometimes as I've already got 2 children from my first marriage aged almost 14 and 11. H2B and I are TTCing for his 1st and my 3rd, so I shouldn't really moan on about how long it's taking when there's lots of people out there who have been trying longer for their first....

Good luck for when you see your specialist (if you don't get a BFP beforehand!) I'm so glad I did now, H2B has been tested twice so we know he is OK, but I don't appear to OV every month, based on blood tests (although FF gives me cross hairs every month just to confuse me ). So, if AF arrives this time, I'll be starting Clomid on day 2 of my next cycle.

Hockeymum, thanks for that, it's given me a glimmer of hope

HandbagAddiction - really sorry to hear that the old witch turned up, I hope next month is your month

Good luck to everyone

Madigan · 22/08/2005 12:52

Loubie

blood test was to test progesterone levels - tested last month on day 21, and progesterone was low (level 25 - should be over 30 apparently), so trying a bit later this month (day 25 today).

I get my hopes up every month as well, and test obsessively.

DH going to do a semen test later this month, and then am going to see a specialist at the beginning of September. Hopefully she will be able to help!

Do you mind me asking how old you are Loubie? I am 33, and have never been pregnant. Would love to have two children, but its just taking so long I think its never going to happen! But keep reading about success stories on this website, which keep me going ....
much love to all on this thread, and hope for BFPs soon XXX

hockeymum · 22/08/2005 12:47

Loubie37 I had the same weeing during the night symptom at 4,5 and 6 DPO and got my BFP at 11 DPO. Fingers crossed for you, and for all of you.

HandbagAddiction · 22/08/2005 12:43

Apologies for the double posting!!

HandbagAddiction · 22/08/2005 12:43

Afternoon all! Well no good news from me I'm afraid, AF arrived on Sunday making that a 32 day cycle. Still bought myself a BBT thermometer on Saturday so I'm hoping that my two pronged attack of OPK's and temping might do the trick...wait and see eh? CD2 today and counting!!

Congratulations to Hockeymum - that's brilliant news!

Debbsy - big hugs for you. Can't believe what's happening - really hope everything is OK.

Hello also to Jag, Milosmum,
Madigan, Fariydust, Hulababy, strike1, Jen, Charlee, Loubie, nimmles and anyone else I've forgotten.

Can't also forget our lurkers - Munz, Frizbe and Bella - if you're still around. hope you ladies are OK.

Welcome to Babymaybe - hope you stay is a short one.

Catch up with you all again later.....and trying to think and be positive....

Loubie37 · 22/08/2005 11:41

REALLY fed up Madigan!! I honestly thought I would fall straight away like I did with my first 2, but then again that was nearly 14 and 12 years ago....I'm maybe too old for all this now

Every month is the same though, I get my hopes up only to have them dashed, and each month it gets harder....it's not too bad this time though, as I'll be starting Clomid on my next cycle (unless I get a BFP of course )

I'm presuming your blood test is to see if you are PG seeing as you are 10 DPO?? If it is, I wish you all the luck in the world

I read somewhere (on FF I think) that most people don't get BFPs until they are 12 DPO, so maybe it's worth trying again on Wednesday?

Let us know how you get on?

Madigan · 22/08/2005 10:16

Loubie

We have been ttc for nearly the same amount of time ... are you feeling fed up with it too? But really hope that you have a BFP this month.I have my fingers crossed for you.

I'm having a down day today ... seems like it will never happen to me - but all my friends are getting pregnant really easily ....

just about to go to the doctors for blood test ....

Loubie37 · 22/08/2005 09:53

oops, it would help if I got your name right....sorry!!

Loubie37 · 22/08/2005 09:32

Maybebaby, sorry about AF arriving , if it was very late last night I would call today CD1

(((Maybebaby)))

Loubie37 · 22/08/2005 09:31

Morning all, well I'm pretty sure I ovulated on my own this month, as my temps are far less erratic than they are normally, so hopefully I won't need Clomid from my next cycle

Last night I had to get up twice for a wee (which is not like me at all!) and I was bursting again when I woke up at 7.30 - is it too early for signs like this yet at 5DPO?

Trying so hard not to get my hopes up too much, you'd think I'd know better after 15 months wouldn't you??

Good luck to everyone else, my AF is due next Wednesday, is anyone else due to test around then (presuming AF stays away?)

babymaybe · 22/08/2005 09:26

Morning all, and thanks for the welcome

Ok my first question LOL, my AF arrived late last night so is today CD1 or CD2 or am I completly wrong ??

Typical aswell that my usually regular cycle of 32 days seems to have gone haywire as last 2 have now been 30 and 28 days. Luckily I usually get ovulation pain so hopefully I'll get that bit right.

Harrizeb · 22/08/2005 09:20

After all that I did manage to miss BabyMaby, Hello, how are you?

H x

Harrizeb · 22/08/2005 09:17

Morning ladies, how is everyone today?
Madigan - sorry for your BFN fingers crossed that it is only that you've tested too early.

Debbsy hows your mum doing? how are you doing?

Hockeymum, how did you tell your DH in the end? did you manage something memorable or just blurt it out in the excitement?

Well i'm now taking myself off the imagining symptons brigade as they have all gone, so guess AF will be here on Monday that's what comes of DH not being within a hundred miles on the important day I guess. Will have to wait and see where he's going to be next month and maybe we'll have a bit more luck. Being in the same county on ov day would be an improvement.

A Monday morning hello to everyone Jag, Debbsy, Milosmum, Handbag,
Madigan, Fariydust, hulababy, strike1, Jen, Charlee - hows the planning going, chocolatepeanunt, Loubie, nimmles- and to the ladies lurking, Bella, Munz - have you heard from Cadmum yet?, Friz - glad that your scan went well and it's only 1 . Hope I haven't missed anyone.

Have a good day, mine started well I have a line of washing out from yesterday that I was planning on ironing tonight - guess what - IT'S RAINING!!! least I get out of the ironing .

fairydust · 22/08/2005 08:55

CD34 HERE AND STILL NOTHING - THINK I MAY TEST AGIAN SOON

Hulababy · 22/08/2005 08:32

Sorry about BFN, but could be too early.

Madigan · 22/08/2005 08:29

10 DPO and did a test and, guess what, BFN as per usual. Very very fed up. Thought I might get lucky this month.

Hulababy · 21/08/2005 18:32

CD12 here - may have EWCM and/or watery cm - which is much earlier than normal for me. Still confused over my cycle though, so who knows.

Had a lovely weekdn. Was at a wedding yesterday which went really well - fab weather too. DD had a great time boogying away all night. She wasn't im[ppressed when the taxi arrived at 11pm to go home - too early for her apparantly as the band were just coming back on again. LOL! She's 3 going on 13 I think.

Hulababy · 21/08/2005 18:30

Oh Debbsey; thinking of you and your family

Hulababy · 21/08/2005 18:29

sorry about AF mm

Congratulations hockeymum; fab news!

JAG123 · 21/08/2005 18:00
