We're getting serious this time BESHies. Welcome to the Palace, where the emphasis is on sophistication. Cast your eyes over the plush carpet, admire the oh-so-carefully worn leather armchairs with sidetables and little green lamps. We have the Bonds of the ages as barstaff, waiting to serve martinis and the finest champagne.

To your left you'll see the Pit, which hopefully we won't be needing much. To your right the Cave of Gloom, and straight ahead we have our special space for the 2WOOFL. You'll find beanbags and gym balls there, the walls have been specially painted to allow you to write your symptoms up and wipe them off if they disappear. It's all the rage for Blue Sky thinking these days. And there are donuts and coffee to keep you going as you try to shift that paradigm.

Oh - For The Win, Cunty!

CUNextTuesday · 22/06/2010 10:06

Yey For Muuuuuuuuserrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Oh mate, that's so ace . Fancy waiting till your period was late eh?? You rebel!!

(PS Head what does FTW mean? My niece uses it all the time but I daren't ask her what it means - last time I asked her what OOFT meant, thinking it was some down wit da yoot acronym, but it turned out to be onomatopoeic for being punched in the stomach so I was left feeling like a dur-brain meff)

Scorpette · 22/06/2010 09:38

MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE! Congrats! We all knew it and I'm always happy to be proved right Oh, my face is hurting from grinning this widely and I think the neighbours might report me for noise disturbance due to my screams of joy (although I guess they're used to those in another way, hurhur). MASS SUMMER DIFFMENT PROJECT IS GO!

I have less than a week left to 2WOOFL. So far am very calm about it but ask me how relaxed I am in a few days time

Don't people say that more people get pg in summer? The Vitamin D is good for the hormones and apparently we all feel sexier when it's warm. Clearly, whoever claimed that has never been in my sauna-tastic bedroom.

ginhag · 22/06/2010 09:22

And lorry?

Muser · 22/06/2010 09:04

Scorps! And I think Medee now too.

Muuussseeerr congratulations, I'm so pleased for you. It's wonderful news.

I think we have an average of about 2/3 BESH updiffs per thread now. Bearing in mind that this is the start of the summer diffment programme I think we should be expecting at least 5 or 6 more over the next couple of weeks. Who is on the 2WOOFL?

Ocarina · 22/06/2010 08:51

Wahey Muse, that's fab. Not having a period before finding out you're pregnant sounds like a good sign that everything is in the right place too which is even better.

I do like it when good BESHnews means I start the day smiling

PerfectDromedary · 22/06/2010 08:50

MUUUU-SER MUUU-SER MUUUU-SER (football chant stylee).

Oh, well done! I am super-chuffed for you, lady.

There seems to be something in my eye...

CurlyCasper · 22/06/2010 08:36

amazing news muse! Oh i love cluster diffments - a good sign I believe. Everything crossed for you. It's going to be great, you and haggy doing it together. And Cho, of course! This is beginning to echo lasr october, with one Besh leading the way (cho/cunty) a few weeks ahead of the cluster (me, ski, iggy, carrots/ salty, gin, muser and ?). Shit, sorry i am rambling now, i'm just so fecking pleased for you! Good luck at the docs both. Massive hugs and nekkid jigs

Muser · 22/06/2010 08:35

Yep, I got told to go straight in. Going to make an appointment at the GP and see about getting referred for all the tests. MrM doesn't want us to tell any family until we get the 6 week scan to confirm it's all where it should be.

I can understand that, but given if it goes wrong we'll end up telling them anyway I'd kind of like to share the joy for once.

ginhag · 22/06/2010 08:05

I don't know much about the indicators tbh,but I think I've heard that they can sort of stick and then jump...

Take it you were told to make appt soon as you got a + too...

C'mon Wayne n Waynetta Muse n Wayne n Waynetta Gin!!!!

Muser · 22/06/2010 07:58

I really don't trust the indicator on CBDs. Good luck with the docs today. Remember, the odds of good things are on our side.

OP posts:
ginhag · 22/06/2010 07:54

Yeah we're the same in the gin house! I did a CBD this am as well, about an hour after you! Wanted it to say 2-3 weeks so I knew things were moving forward...it didn't...I think maybe I am slightly mental to expect this to happen like clockwork when I was only 4 weeks either yesterday or Sunday....

Am so fucking pleased for you mate! Fingers crossed for both of us this time eh? I've got docs appt today to get tests etc sorted...wish I could stop panicking!

Muser · 22/06/2010 07:45

Not much more to say! Woke up at 4.30am this morning desperate for the loo. Tried to resist as wanted to POAS. That wasn't going to work so thought maybe i'd just skip testing. That clearly wasn't going to work either so just went for it.

Waited AGES for the damn thing to say anything. But finally I got a pregnant 1-2 weeks. Am totally made up and nervous. MrM is very nervous.

I know you were agreeing, Aries! I just wanted to give ma home girl Cunty an added shout-out (she gives you a dead arm if you don't, you know ).

Ariesgirl · 21/06/2010 22:35

No, you were very clear Meds. I was being facetious as usual.

Here's an interesting parallel thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/985689-If-you-hadn-39-t-had-children-what-would-your

Medee · 21/06/2010 22:33

I'm trying to confusingly write a post about feminism, and that men don't have to make a choice or be judged for whichever choice they make, but am failing, so think I will just go to bed.

Ariesgirl · 21/06/2010 22:33

Ok ok! I was agreeing!

Scorpette · 21/06/2010 22:31

I think the thing is - and I bet our Mama BESHes will agree - that none of us know what type of mothers we will be and how much we embrace the 'clique' of motherhood. Everyone knows I'm obsessed with having to be a Mum, not just wanting it, and I dream of throwing myself into all the cliches; NCT classes, baby sign language, being a SAHM, etc., but who's to say that I won't actually find everything outside the lovely child a huge bag of arse and end up going to work F/T and putting the baby in nursery all week and who's to say people who are ambivalent or who want a baby to impact as little as possible won't become the most cliched type of Earth Mother around? So much uncertainty on ever level in this TTC lark.

And AryanNation, Cunty is abso-fucking-lutely fab and the voice of reason (help us, Jebus!). And a top snog too

Ariesgirl · 21/06/2010 22:30

Aren't those Hogwarts spells?
