CoraBear - i remember that feeling too from pre-DS1, and wishing we'd got going earlier. Hope you get pg soon so you can say told you so to that voice

Midori - i don't know but pretty sure 7 days PO is still too early! step away from the tests!!

Well I'm CD26 now, and spotting the last couple of days, have no idea what it means, if anything. Sometimes I do spot when not pg so could be nothing...or maybe implantation?

really i shouldn't get my hopes up at all this month as our timings were terrible!

midori1999 · 28/06/2010 10:58

Sorry to hear you got AF Corabear and Nicolaplus1.

I am on CD23, 7 days PO, and the ruge to test is driving me bonkers!

Does anyone know how sensitive the FR early tests are? The Superdrug ones are sensitive to 10ml, (I think it's ml!) are they more sensitive than that?

CoraBear · 26/06/2010 14:05

I too have PCOS, I had an incident a few years ago, where for no apparent reason all the cysts burst at the same time and did quite a bit of damage. I was told at the time to start having my kids straight away because there "wouldn't be much hope after 30". I'm 30 now and have only got my life in order to consider babies. My DP was certain he would knock me up on the first go but it didn't happen and now I have this little nagging voice saying I wasted all my twenties having fun, getting drunk and travelling when I should have been barefoot and pregnant. Now I'm barefoot(too warm for shoes), not pregnant and watching Fraiser re-runs. Damn!

JustKeepSwimming · 26/06/2010 12:09

Funny Cora! I have never had much success with OPKs (ovulation predictor kits!) as when i tried them i had PCOS but didn't know.
I took my temperature and charted it- have you looked at the fertility friend website? very handy for keeping records of things, it is free, though you can pay a little for extras.

This time i'm not temping yet but i still put in my days of AF and BD to keep track.

Slight spotting this morning, could it be something???

CoraBear · 26/06/2010 11:34

Oh cool. I was checking out the ovulation kits too. They seem pretty straight forward. Is there any brand that is better than the other? My DP works for a pharmeceutical company so we'll get them cheaper, but we kind of have to get them in bulk so I don't want to get loads of ones that are annoying.I can't bear anything that's not straightforward.Suddenly have an image of myself sitting in a room surrounded by thousands of ovulation kits furiously drinking water, trying to use them all up.

JustKeepSwimming · 26/06/2010 09:02

LOL

CD just means Cycle Day, could just use D I suppose, dunno why these things end up with so many acronyms really!

Well had a few glasses of wine with friends last night, oops, but not putting life on hold 'in case'. yet.

no symptoms to report.

CoraBear · 26/06/2010 00:39

I have a question: What's CD? As in JustKeepSwimming with CD14 and CD21? Sorry if this is something plainly obvious but I'm new to all this trying to conceive business and haven't got my head around the acronyms. I was trying to be all relaxed about the whole thing but now I want to pee on ovulation sticks and look out for egg white knickers(yuck!) and so forth. Works pretty quiet and there's sod all on the telly so I need a project.

Nicolaplus1 · 25/06/2010 22:33

LOL corabear

I want to eat the world ATM have just troffed a crisp sandwich and a trifle

I feel your pain Nicola, AF is a very unwanted guest as far as I am concerned. I don't know if it's just some sort of vengeful coincidence because I was trying to get pregnant, but I've been so sick this month. Could be due to the kinder bueno and peanut m&m feast that I had for dinner. Belly may not be growing in the near future but my arse definately will be!

JustKeepSwimming · 25/06/2010 19:50

Hi everyone, can I join in?

I need some fellow 2WW-ers to obsess with!

TTCing number 3, have DS1 (4) & DS2 (2), only the first proper month of trying, and was meant to be just 'seeing how it went', haha!
So of course I want to get pg NOW and can't stop thinking about it, lol!

Normally have 34/35day cycles, normally OV about day 18/19.

Only managed to 'try' CD 14 & CD21 so not really v likely this month but I'm still obsessing!

sunchild77 · 25/06/2010 13:27

Awww Nicola Im sorry babe Look after yourself, all fingers crossed for next month... x

Nicolaplus1 · 25/06/2010 12:24

Well AF arrived

heres to next cycle x

OP posts:
sunchild77 · 25/06/2010 11:14

Yeah I thought it was weird too. But then thinking about it, I think I ovulated later in the month, so Im guessing that it was just too early to pick up the hormones at day 24/25 ?

Boobs like rockets now though....!

Nicolaplus1 · 25/06/2010 11:00

Funny that it didnt pick it up before

AF still not arrived but i did a test last night, just a cheepy one and still BFN!

OP posts:
sunchild77 · 25/06/2010 10:11

Yup Nicola is was the FR test I did...

Corabear - Im sorry AF got you, pamper yourself for the next wee while. As my lovely DH says a BFN just means that you get to have more sex..LOL
Totally understand your frustration though.

CoraBear · 24/06/2010 22:11

AF arrived today. I thought I would be a bit more upset or annoyed about the whole thing but I just felt like I normally do; pissed off about being roasting hot and crippled with cramps. Got the feeling that DP was a bit disappointed, said he wasn't but he's been a bit subdued. He was of the opinion that it would happen in the first month (ah bless), telling him was a bit like letting slip to a kid that there was no Santa. He has been making me vodka and cokes all evening though, they help with the cramps!

Nicolaplus1 · 24/06/2010 19:55

Oh thats interesting sunchild, was is FP that you got BFP on?

OP posts:
Angel83 · 24/06/2010 16:48

Thank you for your response and congratulations! On my way to buy a FR now!

sunchild77 · 24/06/2010 16:39

Angel - I bought First response tests got them cos it says on the packet "reliable up to 6 days before your period is due", I usually get AF on day 26/27. So anyway, I tested on thurs - BFN, Fri - BFN, Sat - BFN, and then a BFP yesterday! (CD28)

I did a cheap tesco test this morning and it was also a BFP - although fairly faint.

Dont know if that helps at all..
Good luck and babydust your way...

Angel83 · 24/06/2010 14:45

I've been lurking on these forums for months and have gattered bucketfulls of great advice and support without ever even posting myself -thank you :-)

Having done the 2ww I've not discovered a whole new problem to obsess about- I'm currently on day 32 (of a 27-32 day cycle) I've done to preg tests- both BFNs is there a better brand for earlier testing??? I've used one that said would work up to 4 days before AF. The funny thing is last week I felt like my AF was coming (cramps, spotty skin, usual...) but now I feel great no pre-mens symptoms at all.

Basically I'm asking what preg tests come recommended and has anyone else experienced BFN then BFP in same cycle or shall I just give up now (can't help hoping!)

Your advice would be appriciated.

superpenguin · 24/06/2010 14:17

hello everyone,
I'm also on the 2ww, waiting and waiting!

no need to spend a fortune on tests, I get 5 for £3 on the internet, there are loads of companies selling cheap tests and they are just as good as they all work the same, you are only paying for the brand name and packaging.

good luck everyone!

TheDiceGirl · 24/06/2010 13:51

good luck nicola lots of baby dust for you x

sunchild77 · 24/06/2010 13:15

OOh Nicola thats exciting! Will keep all my fingers crossed for you! Keep us posted

Nicolaplus1 · 24/06/2010 11:54

Right well 2day i am on CD28 and still no AF as yes so am keeping a faint glimmer of hope that the BFN i got on monday was just to early.

AF arrived on CD27 last month

OP posts:
TheDiceGirl · 24/06/2010 11:45

Ooh can I join? I'm still waiting for AF to arrive, I'm about 3 weeks late, I think, but last week I tested and got BFN so I'm on a 5ww by the looks of things! Still hoping it's just late showing up on the tests, and I'm going to the doctors if I get to CD60 with no AF and no BFP. I'm on CD50 now.
Congrats to everyone who got their BFPs!
