twowoulddo i know exactly what you mean, i feel like i'm pregnant already..! And probably not at all!
I think its because i've never had this waiting thing, the last 2 times, i sort of just came off the pill to see what happened.. and then felt all the symptoms, tested and i was.
So the fact that i am actively trying to get pregnant is making me more obsessed.. i've always thought people who worry/stress about it too much, take ages to get pregnant, so this makes me nervous!

It would just be such good timing now... Although an April baby would be lovely, Its my 30th Birthday and we sort of have plans, but i know i can't be fussy! A baby anytime next year would be AMAZING

Hello everyone....

I still have ZERO urge to test but I feel PG to Shuv - I'm awfully bloated and feel just as I did during my 1st PG but its probably all in my head but a bit of that positive thinking can't do me any harm eh!

Energu I understand your mentality that sooner you know the better and I would say that if there are underlying issues that a PG will be affected by or will affect then go for it...test til your hearts content

I on the other hand am determined to wait and hope AF arrives before a BFN.

I've got my fingers crossed for everyone on the 2WW. We're gonna get a BFP soon

xx
GOOD LUCK ALL

twowoulddo · 07/07/2010 14:17

sillybillymummy I think I'm on the brink too... going to try and wait until Saturday to test so that don't have to try and contain my disappointment/excitement at work for a few days but it's proving hard!

I also was struck with some hardcore dizziness this morning which has since passed. I had this last time before my BFP so am trying not to get my hopes up... all the signs are surely there but it surely must be too soon???

sillybillymummy · 07/07/2010 13:19

twowoulddo you have more willpower than me.. i know we were meant to keep each other going, but i tested today - negative. Serves me right! Now i am going to make myself wait until tuesday, asi only have one test left (and i do feel guilty as they are digital ones!)

JustKeepSwimming · 07/07/2010 13:13

CD1 here, going to get some cheapie tests from that site ready to go mad next time

Energumene · 07/07/2010 11:00

JKS, it's not over yet, hun. Will be flinging a load more baby dust in your direction.

Shuv, feeling pregnant isn't necessarily your mind playing tricks. I've had 7 confirmed pregnancies so far and known every single time that I was up the duff well before a positive HPT. Which is why I'm pretty sure this time as well, despite it being very early days. Sometimes you really do just know.

Storm, I admire your willpower but can't hope to emulate it. Also can't afford to emulate it as a positive test result in my case puts in train a whole load of things, like adjusting medication, sorting early scans, and probably getting to see the cardio early. Will probably be classified as high risk again, so the sooner I can get 2 lines on a stick, the better it'll be for the baby. Life was so much simpler when we first started ttc!

TWD, I shall be peeing on sticks just as soon as they arrive, but will limit myself to one a day. Probably

Good luck everyone

twowoulddo · 06/07/2010 23:12

Ooh I wish I was feeling less inclined to test... but I'm not

By prev two cycles AF is due Monday not Wed so if I can hold out until Sunday I will. I got bargain tests in Superdrug that were 4 for £8 so I don't feel too guilty!

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 06/07/2010 22:32

good luck to u too shuv66
i'm 9DPO and its cos of those stats that I've not bothered to test....in fact i've lost the urge to. AF is due friday, if its still a no show by sunday, i may consider testing, hopefully i can hold out til 16DPO though.
fingers crossed

Shuv66 · 06/07/2010 22:23

Thanks StormTTCbabyNo1, that's put my mind at rest - I'm 1 wk into the 2ww and did a test this am (6 days before period due) and got a negative

I've been symptom spotting since the day I ovulated!! It's probably mind playing tricks but for some reason I just feel pregnant.....

I've promised myself that I won't test again until the weekend - fingers crossed!!

Good luck to you all

JustKeepSwimming · 06/07/2010 21:47

Thanks Energ - i will def get some from there if AF arrives for next time - as i am pretty sure she's on her way.

I did try to buy some tests this evening but was thwarted by chemist having run out !!

hey ho, saved myself some pennies i guess.

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 06/07/2010 20:52

Here's some stats to put you early testers off....it worked for me

Fertility Friend have done a pregnancy test study using thousands of charts on their database and this is what they find.

Average Day Past Ovulation (DPO) for the first positive pregnancy test: 13.6 DPO

Average DPO for the first "false" negative test result: 10.3 DPO

Percentage of pregnancy charts with a positive test at 10 DPO: 10%

Percentage of pregnancy charts which show negative results before a positive result: 17%

Average time between the expected period and the first positive pregnancy test: 0.5 days before the expected period.

Percentage of negative test results taken three days or more before the expected period day on non pregnant charts: 40.7%

twowoulddo · 06/07/2010 20:12

Hi all, ok so I am 6DPO (I think no OPKs etc) and on day 26 of a 32ish cycle.

Bought tests today and they are burning a hole in my drawer!

How soon can I test?

Page62 · 06/07/2010 17:23

Hi,

just wanting to join you.
i am 2dpo and we are trying for #3. i had a MC in Dec and needed a bit of time to consider if i was ready to TTC again. crossing fingers, this month is the month (been trying for last 3 months) and trying to make sure i don't test too early!

baby dust and luck to all

Energumene · 06/07/2010 17:00

www.uk-fertility-solutions.com/index.asp

is the site I used for mine. Being paranoid about anyone seeing what they were, I actually asked them how discreet the packaging was, and they emailed very quickly this morning to reassure me and tell me that I should get them tomorrow. I will try and hold off testing until 7dpo because there's no point testing before. But I know my willpower of old, so I'll probably be bitching about BFNs by tomorrow night, even though there is no way in hell I'll get a positive that early!

The thing I've found about buying them in such quantities was that it became a pretty much guilt-free experience, whereas the prices we have to pay for CB, FR et al do rather discourage a POAS addiction in all but the seriously afflicted. It took me 5 miscarriages to conceive my son, and I can tell you I had mega advantage card points by the time we got there, just from all the HPTs I'd bought Which was why I switched to internet cheapies after mc number 3, and didn't buy another CB until I was pg with DS.

Anyway, what's new with you? If you've had no more bleeding since Saturday I'd say that was a positive sign. When are you going to test?

JustKeepSwimming · 06/07/2010 13:01

Ooh sounds good, where did you buy them from?

Energumene · 06/07/2010 10:30

JKS - ordered 25 over the web last night so I'm sure I can spare a few. In my defence, they did only cost a fiver, so it's no longer an obsession but a canny purchasing tactic?

No, didn't think that would fly

JustKeepSwimming · 06/07/2010 08:38

Cora - yey for stroppy SIL !

Energ - well hope it works out for you, sounds like a lot going on for you right now.

No AF...CD34....may actually have to buy a test or three soon...

Energumene · 05/07/2010 23:11

Hello everyone. Just dipping a toe in, really. We're not ttc at the mo, for various good reasons, but we were a tad careless last week and I now have pretty clear symptoms.

I'm absolutely terrified, because I've got 6 miscarriages to my name, including one earlier this year, and have a heart condition under investigation, so all in all not the best position to be in.

Current symptoms include cramping, weeing and some nausea. Not sure how many dpo I am, but I've ordered some 10miu tests off the internet, since that worked quite well when ttc DS.

So here's baby dust and sticky stuff to all that need it. And cyber vodka to those who are all finding it a bit much ;)

CoraBear · 05/07/2010 22:14

Had to look up what SWI meant, such a newbie. I'm not a nutter about getting pregnant but I like to think that I have my conception days free to, y'know, conceive. I'm watching 16 and pregnant at the moment, they all get pregnant at the drop of a hat. Hmmm, maybe I should buy a hat.

sillybillymummy · 05/07/2010 21:33

OH YOU CAN SWI UNTIL YOUR HEARTS CONTENT!
YOU GO GIRL!!! Ha ha ha ha

CoraBear · 05/07/2010 21:19

The ttc Gods are smiling on us (or at least the nookie Gods). DP's sis has gone home!!!! She got in a strop because...well, I'm not entirely sure why, but she's gone after one day. Hurray. We have been left with a fridge full of food suitable only for her Atkins Diet but I don't care (DP is of the opinion that you can't reason with people on a diet so he was happy to see her off). Actually did a happy dance. Please don't think that I'm a total cow but stress really messes up my cycle and I have enough hassle trying to work out ovulation without cycle issues.
Storm and JKS I have my fingers crossed for you both. I know how nerve wrecking it can be.

JustKeepSwimming · 05/07/2010 11:51

Definitely go for it!!

Storm - maybe test Friday if you can wait that long?

AF doing a no-show, though still time for it to arrive properly, just want to get on with it now, at least once it's here properly then I'll know it's CD1.

... CD33 and counting ...

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 05/07/2010 08:25

Corabear I agree with Sillybillymummy - Just get to it!! Whereever you may be LOL x

Hi Sillybillymummy I too feel like there's a 'rumbling going on down there' but I'm not sure if its just in my head???

Those dull achy tummy pains dissappeared most of yesterday afternoon and last night. Then I got in the car to go to work this morning and half way there YOUCH!! a mahoosive sharp pain. Then it all went quite and the dull achy pains have now returned. WTF is going on only on 8DPO so really reluctant to test. But if I was honest I'm scared to test - I just don't want a BFN....
Any suggestions for when to test please on a postcard? AF should be due on Friday (from my calculations which are not always accurate).

Thanks

sillybillymummy · 05/07/2010 07:56

You just answered your question! Just go for it - ha ha ha!
Get her to babysit and go out somewhere and do it??

CoraBear · 04/07/2010 22:22

I think cheaper tests are a bit of disaster. I bought a double pack of Tesco value ones and both of them were void. They didn't work. I would have been annoyed but they were £2.99.
Having a bit of trouble with the week ahead. DP's pain the arse sister is staying and I'm ovulating. She's the type to give out yards if DP and myself kiss so I dread to find out what she'll do if she finds out we're having sex. Don't know what to do. I want a baby more than I want her in my house.
