Hi all,

Brand new thread!

I started it so I must get a BFP before the end - them's the rules.

OP posts:
Moofold · 19/06/2010 22:33

Had a wee look, thanks Jollster. I'll definitely order some of that if RTD gets me in a week or so - its worth a shot. And if I still don't get upduffed I can lather it on my visage instead - it seems to claim to improve skin tone too!

randomimposter · 19/06/2010 22:01

Moof.... my view on it is that it can't do any harm. The Assisted Conception clinics prescribe progesterone by the bucketload... and in my opinion noone knows more about conception and early pregnancy than them? I discussed it with my acupuncturist who was very pro it, and said the cream just as good as pessaries or tablets. Serenity is the website? You rub it on fleshy bits rotating the venue! (Fine for me, I have loads of fleshy bits!!) Am not recommending it as am not medically trained, but all I've read it has lots of potential upsides and no downsides (apart from bloating/mood swings maybe...? But nothing conception related) x

Moofold · 19/06/2010 21:47

Rubbish about the BFNs, RTD signs and spotting girls. Go go go those about to have a shagfest!!

Jolls - what is the script with the cream? Can it do any harm if your doc hasn't recommended it? Also, where do you put it!! I spoke to my doc, in between sobs, about my new development of 10-11 day luteal phase and asked about that. She said to hang off until after my due date etc before thinking about that - but I'm wondering if it might be worthwhile giving it a shot. I'm assuming that's what causes the short luteal phase anyway?

Freezing enjoy your trip. The weather is actually decent here for a change and Scotland is breathtaking when the sun is shining. Where are you planning on going?

batteryhen · 19/06/2010 21:24

Hmmmmmm. Have tested too - BFN. However, got some OPKs yesterday - and negative too, but lots of EWCM.I do think I am actually gearing up for Ov, but only time will tell. I have no cramps etc, will test again next week..... my body is just defiant of everything scientific

Quick wave to all - sorry not to name check, but just in from a long day in London xx

randomimposter · 19/06/2010 20:56

Thanks y'all for all those lovely supportive messages. Am touched.

More spotting today, still very light but more than yesterday and darker.

Have had a bit of a lightbulb moment and then googled (dangerous I know). I have been using progesterone cream this cycle.... (just in case it contributed to my MMCs previously, and though my day21 was ok and in normal range it could have been higher)... it seems prog cream can delay your period (with totally makes sense as one of its main uses is to prevent early MC, as in delay RTD whilst implantation has a chance to "take").

So my new strategy is wait til Tuesday if still spotting and POAS. If BFN (which I highly suspect) stop cream and await the joy of RTD... Arsicles. If BFP (about as much chance as me kissing the pontiff) so begins the next stage of anxiety and obsession .

Only have a breaded haddock in the freezer, so all those who have tested early will also get scraped cheek by the crust as I wallop you with it...So sorry hopefully and bunder. Muse sorry you think evil visitor on its way. Pants.

Freezingmyarseoff · 19/06/2010 19:35

Hi
Just popping in to check all is well. We're off on a road trip next week, up to Scotland so hoping that when I get back there are lots of BFP to celebrate

Go Digital on the SWI - have fun!

Waves to everyone else

lucysnowe · 19/06/2010 19:28

suggested we ... oh you know what I mean...

lucysnowe · 19/06/2010 19:27

Hi all. hairy hope you are better soon. Sorry too to hear about BFNs, it must be your bodies ladies telling you we will win the WC and you have to save yourself for the champagne. or er something like that.

DH today asked me when my 'window' was. I told him and suggested with SWI EVERY DAY this time round. He nearly fainted.

digitalgirl · 19/06/2010 17:47

Sorry to hear about more bfn's.

Have had my annual shearing hair cut into a sophisticated bob and my lower body completely depilated by a ruthless woman weilding a spatula and a very hot cauldron of wax. It's the beginning of the 3 week swi-athon for me so wish me luck ladies.

Muser · 19/06/2010 17:28

Just say NO to early testing!

I had period like cramps this morning so I don't think I'm going to make it to Tuesday. Fully expect period to arrive this evening or tomorrow. Am really disappointed.

BUnderTheBonnet · 19/06/2010 17:16

I need kippering too. BFN.

OP posts:
Hopefully · 19/06/2010 17:14

Right, who wants to take the turn slapping me with the wet kipper? Just tested again, BFN, of course. Although now I'm beginning to believe it, as I got a BFP 3 days before AF was due in both previous pregnancies. Urgh.

It's not even like we can afford for me to continuously POAS! I don't even like to think what I've spent on tests since January

Jollster hope it's good news when you do finally get to test.

MrsGMack · 19/06/2010 10:49

jollster hope the spotting has stopped.

Muser · 19/06/2010 10:20

Am hoping for no more spotting or pinkness for you jolls. Waiting to test is a good thing I think. I am not testing until Tuesday, if I make it that far without having to break the mooncup out. Decided that if I did ov on CD18 there is no point testing until CD32 as would expect to be late anyway.

hairytriangle · 19/06/2010 09:14

((((Jolls))))

randomimposter · 19/06/2010 07:34

Tiny bit of pinky spotting yesterday, but nowt else. Not testing today as

  1. really can't bear a BFN
  2. thought I had a leftover test in the drawer but don't
  3. re-counted my days and realised I waited much later in Jan to test... think I'll do the same... waver between thinking I must be pg to thinking "how bloody ridiculous are you, you're 42 and you think you'll be dufferooony first month of trying" (even though that has happened twice before...)

Busy weekend with family coming today and off to in-laws tomorrow, so much to occupy obsessed brain with. Hurrah. Love to all, sorry all MEMEME me ememe mememmemememememe x

hairy hope the antibiotics make you feel better soon & jolls, I hope the swimming was uneventful?

batteryhen I'd always bd at any sign of EWCM! Do you temp? or POAS? I do everything so I can cross-reference all data & get totally neurotic analyse everything rationally

MrsM hope you've recovered? DH & I are going out for a belated anniversary meal tomorrow so expect I will be feeling the same on sunday

Magic8footballhastheanswers · 18/06/2010 21:03

don't think I will be having a world cup baby! What a load of bollocks!

hairytriangle · 18/06/2010 19:39

Hello, just literally popping in after a few days in Amsterdam.

Doc thinks continuing bleeding and 'bruised' feeling could be infection so I have got antibiotics.

Will read back later hope everyone is fine!

H x

Hopefully · 18/06/2010 16:44

Batteryhen it would be perfectly reasonable for your body to only just be ovulating - the WTF cycle truly is WTF!

How can I still be 4 days from RTD? I normally don't suffer too badly during the 2WW (until the last couple of days, when I merrily convince myself I'm pg. Every time) but this one is taking forever. Possibly also because I'm trying to avoid POanymoreS until RTD is at least due, if not late.

digitalgirl · 18/06/2010 16:09

batteryhen I was told your period can take an extra 1-2 weeks to arrive so it's very likely you're only just ovulating. I know my 1st post-mc period was 2-3 weeks late and I didn't ov till cd43. Swi swi!

batteryhen · 18/06/2010 12:45

mrsM glad to see you back, also pleased you can get on with ' the job in hand' now

Can I ask a question of all the wise ladies please. I am due AF today - no sign, however this will be my first AF since WTF, so not really expecting it on time. However yesterday and today have had lots of EWCM. Is it possible that my body is only just kicking in - and instead of AF - I am actually Ovulating??? Would be nice if so as DP is back from Germany - and sat at home with his swimmers ready to go - I am at work though

Would appreciate any wise words xx

MrsGMack · 18/06/2010 10:02

Morning ladies

Feeling a little bit ropey this morning (thank god I'm working from home today) Several friends at work were made redundant and it was a group leaving do. I started off well, only drinking lime and soda, but eventually graduated to the booze (well 3 glasses of wine and vodka and cranberry juice) I've given up drinking except for special occasions Today I feel tired and parched!

This is my first AF since my MMC and it's back to normal . Usual first day heavy flow, and days 2-4 diminshing flow.

Deep breath as we embark on TTC officially next week

Muser · 18/06/2010 08:24

I hope RTD stays well away jolls, I have high hopes for you.

randomimposter · 18/06/2010 08:03

Had a small amount of watery light brown "leakage" yesterday. Not the sort of spotting that I usually get pre RTD, but as I believe implantation bleeding to be about as likely as the tooth fairy, I suspect my high hopes for this month may soon come crashing down. Hey ho. Hope everyone else ok.

Off to take DS swimming - cue full on RTD by the time we get to the pool
