Hi all,

Brand new thread!

I started it so I must get a BFP before the end - them's the rules.

OP posts:
Hopefully · 25/06/2010 16:23

Oh, and glad EPU were nice Muser

Hopefully · 25/06/2010 16:21

I know you're all on the edge of your seats, so thought I'd let you know still no AF. BFN earlier (in the interests of full disclosure, it wasn't FMU), will test again tomorrow if no AF by then. Even if I OV'd on day 18 I'd expect AF to appear by tomorrow. I am desperately trying not to get my hopes up, but is impossible not to cling onto tiny little chance.

Feel bad for ranting now. EPU were lovely and am booked in for a scan on 5 July. No waiting for blood tests, just fast track to the good stuff. Hooray. And ohmigodthisisreallyhappening.

Muser · 25/06/2010 09:58

I was at the docs jolls. Bit of a waste of time. All booked in but he can't refer me for the 6 week scan the EPU said I had to have to rule out another ectopic. So I have to go back to the EPU to get that, which is a completely different hospital to the one my 12 week scan will be at. And it means endless waiting around in the place where so far all they've ever given is bad news. I hate it there.

randomimposter · 25/06/2010 08:44

frustrating for you hopefully and NOT that I want to give you false hope, but that is what happened to me... 3 days of very light spotting/tinged CM, then nothing, then a BFP...? The waiting and limbo is the worst

Morning all. Good luck muse think you're at docs today? Great to hear darker line bunder... FX for me when I poas again on Monday x

Hopefully · 25/06/2010 08:33

Harrumph, AF still hasn't arrived properly. Still teeny weeny bits of spotting, but no actual bleeding. It's so frustrating, my cycle used to be absolutely textbook (literally knew to the nearest half day, as it was always 28.5 days) but now it's all over the shop. Want it to appear, as I just want to get onto the next cycle and use the fertility monitor etc to try to maximise chances.

Clareanna that's shit, can you phone up and ask to at least speak to someone to discuss the pros and cons?

Moofold hope you're horribly wrong about RTD and are PG, but it'll be nice to have a cycle buddy if you're not.

Hi Clareanna - v rubbish that you were told you had a cyst but didn't have any explanation of what that would mean for you.

I've now talked to 2 sep Drs about it - first at the EPU and then the private consultant at the scan yesterday. I think that the options in a nutshell are operate to remove it or don't - and there are pros and cons to each. I'm obviously in a different situation as am not pregnant so removing it has different concerns. If the cyst is smaller it can generally be removed with keyhole surgery, if its bigger that may not be possible. I'm erring towards leaving mine alone until I've had a family. I don't have any pain and would never have found out if I hadn't been pregnant. The risks with my approach are that if it twists will cause pain and apparently this could happen during pregnancy and removing at this stage may be riskier.

Think that you should speak to your GP or someone to get some specific answers

lucysnowe · 24/06/2010 19:58

Bad luck Hopefully and Moofold though Moo it ain't over till the fat lady sings - anyway hope things go more swimmingly next time (pun intended). Bunder great news now throw away those tests!

loopy v. unhelpful indeed! digi super long cycle buddy yes I think you may be right because the day before I had a massive dip and the day before that a bit of a rise. No need to whinge really but I could really do with not having to wait a gazillion years for ov. But I'll stop moaning now.

clareanna · 24/06/2010 19:56

just lurking- shite hopefully so sorry it wasn't your month. Fx still moo cramps could be a good sign?

northern I had a scan at 6 weeks on fri as they suspected an ectopic due to one sided pain. Bean ok and in right place with heartbeat (phew) but was told I had a dermoid cyst too. Doc had left to go to watch footie so didn't get a proper discussion on what to expect- did they give you any other details?

littlemiss72 · 24/06/2010 18:20

lol.. just made me giggle now where's that haddock..

BUnderTheBonnet · 24/06/2010 18:13

hopefully That's crap.

Happy birthday digi

Well, I ignored everyone's advice (thanks anyway ) and tested again today. My line's much darker, so I'm happy now and will refrain from testing again for at least a week three days.

OP posts:
barrenbrook · 24/06/2010 17:59

muse good luck at docs tomorrow honey, we're all rooting for you. Fingers crossed x

hopefully chin up chicken, sorry RTD got you, the bitch! I know how you feel though as the day after I mc the 2nd time my best mate announced she was 13 weeks. It's shit and I feel for you.

loopy sorry you are here but welcome. That must've been really tough for you after having a healthy scan. Good that your cycles are back to normal though.

digi enjoy your birthday

It seems as though normal service has resumed at barrenville. CBFM says high today and I have a HUGE amount of EWCM, more than I've ever had before! However we've decided to refrain this month and get on with it again next month, although that makes me a bit sad it's prob for the best! I've received my referral appt for consultant for 12th July. Hopefully we will start to get some answers.

Anyhoo enough of me, have a good evening,

Moofold · 24/06/2010 17:40

Wow, that was quick - well done Muser and Jolls and how nice you will be going through it together! Great stuff, wishing that this is the one for you both after what you've been through x

Littlemiss have you recovered yet? And Viv with your tummy troubles? That's lovely news from Bunny its really good to see all is well with you and all the other grads who popped by.

That's pants LucyS, how annoying to have your cycle up in the air again. BU hope you have calmed down and feeling more positive after all the reassusrance. Fliesby glad to see you got the all clear too and can start again. Happy birthday Digi* - enjoy the food and drinks!!

Northern only scanned some posts upon my return from Wales so not sure if someone already answered- but you do need to be fairly regimental with the time of your temps. Within about 45 mins to an hour I reckon. I struggle at the weekends and sometimes it gives skewed results.

Hello Naitimum and Loopy, hope you're both ok during these difficult days. Loopy we also saw our little one with a nice heartbeat at 7 weeks so it was a big shock to find out at the 12 week scan that the wee one was gone. Take care of yoursevles

Barren its good to hear from you pal, you've been awful quiet so I'm hoping you're alright x Have a good trip Battery!

Thanks for the best wishes of luck Clare but I think I'll be joining poor Hopefully soon. I've had terrible cramps since Tuesday and can feel RTD coming a mile away. I'm awful weepy again but don't know if that's hormonal or impending due date. Pissed off anyway and feeling pretty shite. I'm totally with you Hopefully on starting to get monumentally fed up with the whole thing.

Anyway, nice to see you all again and to catch up on everyone's news, have a good evening x

magichen · 24/06/2010 16:40

Congratulations jolls and muser, its great to see more BFPs. I think this is gonna be a lucky thread.

Happy birthday digi hope ur having a great one! x

welcome to loopy, so sorry for your loss, you have definetely come to the right place, loads of advice, chat and cheering up! I had a mc when they couldnt find a heartbeat at routine scan, had scan at 11w+2 and all was well then had another bang on 12weeks and they couldnt find a heartbeat, so I understand the shock you must have had.

Sorry to hopefully, I can understand how disheartened you must be that really is bollocks. x

I noticed Im on the list twice! can someone please update me? TTC #2 Cycle 1, UCL29 AND currently on CD13. thankx

Hopefully · 24/06/2010 15:03

Oh, and thanks for the offer to move me to CD1 Magic, but I'm still on really light spotting (like, I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't obsessively knicker checking(, so I think I'll wait to see if proper bleeding starts today or tomorrow and count that as CD1.

Hopefully · 24/06/2010 15:01

Thanks so much for all the kind messages everyone, it really does make a difference. Sorry for being such a grump this morning, I'd just begun to convince myself that there was a chance, which made it worse.

Had a lovely morning at the beach with DS, which cheered me up a bit (despite DS pouring most of the beach down my dress).

In an effort to take control in some way, have ordered fertility monitor thingie and thermometer for temping - can't decide which one will be less of a pain, so trying them both! Am also going to make an appointment with the doc just to chat over the situation. We're in quite a good area, NHS-wise, so I'm hoping I might be able to get a referral asap once it's been a year of trying.

Afternoon ladies, just updating the list. Hopefully I am sorry RTD got you and I find that you always get news of someone else getting up the duff just as RTD is about to or does arrive which really rubs salt into the wounds But maybe we should think positive like one of the others girls (I can't remember who it was now??) said and see it as a positive that your body is working properly.......hard I know xx do you want me to move you to CD1? Let me know and I will x

Big waves and hand holding for those on the 2ww and those about to get on it!! Bunder a line is a line lovely! x

fliesby I didn't have an erpc, miscarried naturally, but my WTF cycle was still 60 days long. I have long cycles anyway, but that was definitely my longest one I've ever recorded. It was very frustrating waiting to ov and a similarly stressful 2ww after that. But am through it now and feeling very positive about the future (even if no bfp this cycle).
Electrostim - first time I had it done. My acupuncturist attached a tens machine to a couple of needles that he'd put in my ov region. Very low level electric pulse that just felt a little tingly, my body actually tuned it out after a couple of minutes so I couldn't even feel the tingles.
I've been having EWCM for the last couple of days so I'm on course for an egg (never know with my body though) - so if it does work I'll imagine it would have given a helping hand.

hopefully so so sorry . It's really quite shit getting your period at the same time as others announcing their pregnancies. I've been there a few times. Hope you get through the next few days ok.

battery I've always felt rtd-like cramps at the end of EWCM when I'm about to ovulate. There's been many a time that I've mistaken ov for implantation cramps and thus missed my window of opportunity. Keep going with the SWI!

littlemiss hope you recover from your cold. I have hayfever, and havn'et been able to take anti-histamines in the last couple of years because I've been pregnant or brestfeeding. Now I don't want to take them because they hinder ewcm!

muser good luck at the docs.

northerngoldilocks good luck swi.

waves to everyone else magic8, jolls, loopy, BUnder, saffron, pv, lucy and anyone else I've missed!

Muser · 24/06/2010 11:15

Really sorry hopefully, what rubbish news.

Bunder step away from the tests madam. A line is a line. I know it's scary - but try to stay hopeful.

I am going to the docs tomorrow morning to request blood tests and an early scan to confirm this one is working. Very nervous indeed.

northerngoldilocks · 24/06/2010 11:08

fliesby - I really think that everyone is different post ERPC. Some people seem to have their next period almost as normal, I waited 10 weeks. Its infuriating as you just want to get the whole thing behind you and move on.

Anyway - day 9 of new cycle - had a scan yesterday (as had a dermoid cyst identified at EPU when I found out about the MMC). Cyst still there but otherwise apparently everything looks healthy. Said that uteris lining looked thick - so could mean that this cycle will be much shorter. Think this means that sometimes can take a couple of cycles to get back to normal. In the mean time lots of SWI for me just in case I'm about to ovulate (have started temping but its the first month of that so not sure whats going on yet!)
