Hi all,

Brand new thread!

I started it so I must get a BFP before the end - them's the rules.

OP posts:
tigger15 · 01/07/2010 20:44

sarahmia - glad you saw my post. I hope very much that you won't need to contact chana at all and know what you mean about feeling a fraud but I did it in the end because I found a friend who had had 2 mmc's in close succession and then called when having trouble conceiving (which she did after 5 months) and she said they were really helpful. I've started going to their hypnotherapy course and feel a proper fraud in there as the others all have primary infertility but it is relaxing me a bit and helping.

Nice to chat and if you want to contact off list - feel free to cat me.

Delilah sorry to see you here. It's a friendly place although rather depressing being here.

Moofold · 01/07/2010 20:43

Evening all. Thanks Loopsy, you are so right - in the absence of anything being wrong everything is alright! Felt a wee bit sick today, but like you Jollster DD decided to get up before 6am this morning so that may have contributed to it. Slightly dull abdominal cramps which i had both times before too, which is reassuring. I am probably just being impatient.

Jolls that's excellent the spotting stopped - not so excellent about the smearing! Muser you must be feeling anxious, hang on in there - in both pgs before I had all manner of weird pains.

Viv you can still chart your temps from now. I got mine from Boots and it came with a wee book with a space for each cycle day - just start on whatever day. Or use fertility friend online. Good luck, remember 8s said this is your lucky 8th cycle! Good luck with your temping too Digi and the SWI!

SarahM when will you test? Welcome to the thread Delilah, I'msure it will help you get through this - hope you're doing ok. Sorry about the BFN Ivy I got one too one day before my BFP. Just saying....

I went to the doc today and she immediately phoned the EPU and got me booked in for a scan just after 7 weeks, without me even asking. Not sure if that's standard or if she has taken pity on me after the bawling session a few weeks back when she realised I had lost the baby. So that's less than 3 weeks away which is good.

I am, however, feeling pretty emotional about the weekend - which would have been my due date. Thinking about it has fair knocked the wind out of my sails a few times. I'm sure being pregnant again is taking the edge off it to some extent but its still horribly raw. Viv we're planning on setting free some laterns at the weekend. I am thinking about writing a wee letter too, to say the things I won't get a chance to. We're also replacing our tree which bloody died, we can't be that unlucky twice surely!

Hope everyone else is good. Ok Jolls (gulp) - can whoever is doing the list tomorrow graduate me please? I'm too scared, BFP was the 26th June x

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 01/07/2010 20:23

delilah - that's what I used to say, but I think I was in denial. ;)

delilahbelle · 01/07/2010 19:58

Ivy geek? I'm a nerd I'll have you know!

Stay positive, we'll all get there in the end I'm sure...

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 01/07/2010 19:50

Delilah - us geeks know each other anywhere, right?

Me and my co-worker are both TTC at the moment, hopefully we'll both end up being bump buddies... one can always dream, right? It's been like 9 months since we started TTC #2, and we are just not getting anywhere. Stupid bad day making me all negative

Hi all, thanks for the welcome.

IvySedai (Wheel of Time ref, or not?) hope the RTD arrives soon for you.

jollster hope you continue to be well - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

B Hopefully I'll only be a few months behind you - I want another BFP by xmas.

My day has been getting better... lots of good gossip with friends on facebook/phone/via text which has made me smile, DH has gone out for the night leaving me with lots of chocolate and the tv remote... and my headache has finally gone.

Going back into work tomorrow, boo, but have a weekend of nice things planned with friends and family to look forward to, life really is OK.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 01/07/2010 19:03

hi delilah and welcome. this is a lovely place, like PPs have said.

I had a horrible day today - started off by POAS (FR) against my better judgment and got a much expected and resounding BFN. Then continued to be annoyed with everything all day.
It's CD28, 14DPO. Where's my RTD?

randomimposter · 01/07/2010 19:02

Oh and my house buyers want a price reduction for some supposedly required damp work.... two words for them. Sex and Travel.

randomimposter · 01/07/2010 19:00

Hi delilah - good to see you from our chat on the other thread. Lots of lovely support here. And plenty of insanity...

Muse I hear and feel your every word. Digi thanks for the reassuring post - it means a lot.

Stressy day - hot/early waking/no napping toddler; put him to bed early as falling asleep in his dinner.... went up to check if he had zzzzzz... no, he had pooed and was smearing it all round his cot, onto toys/books/in fact all the cot contents.

Delightful

Hope you all have a lovely eve. x

sarahmia · 01/07/2010 18:56

Hey deliliah a very sad welcome. this place is lovely tho!

BUnderTheBonnet · 01/07/2010 17:47

Hi delilah I'm so to see you here. But it's a lovely thread and they'll look after you.

Hi - can I join you?
I had a chem preg (after fertility treatment) back in Feb, then a natural BFP which became another chem preg in June.
Currently day 3 ish, not entirely sure we will be ttc this first cycle after it though. This month I am mainly going to be eating well, taking my vits, and maybe will start charting again...

sarahmia · 01/07/2010 14:51

afternoon all!

tigger someone else thats frum on here! thats so exciting!!I did contact chana to speak to one of their councellors after it happened but i chickened out... i suppose because its seen as an infertility organisation I felt like i shouldnt be there.

well... as for me... I was due on tues and no sign of RTD yet. im just pretending i havent got y stomach in my mouth!
xx

digitalgirl · 01/07/2010 12:45

jolls when pg with DS, my spotting pretty much dried up overnight after my second reassurance scan at 7 weeks showing a heartbeat. I really do think that reassurance helps, and that includes having acu. I'm TOTALLY going to continue with the needles when I get my BFP.

muser I don't think it's inappropriate at all, we all understand the anxiety of being pregnant after a miscarriage. Monday must feel like years away. But I also understand not wanting to type out actual fears as it almost validates them.

Well, I totally forgot to temp this morning. Ha! So much for dedication to the cause. Feeling a lot more twinges going on today and yesterday evening was looking pretty fertile - so am on a bit of a mission with swi-ing this week. Good thing we're still both enjoying it. Fingers crossed for an egg before next Weds so I can cancel my acupuncuture appt and save myself the money.

Muser · 01/07/2010 09:34

Hey jolls. I'm doing ok, just trying not to panic on this thread as don't feel it's appropriate. I am just holding on for Monday and my scan. I've been getting really weird feelings - like someone is pulling my belly button into my back. I'm told this is probably normal, but every twinge has me freaking out. I just want Monday to come so I know Bob is in the right place.

VivClicquot · 01/07/2010 08:45

Morning lovelies x

I'm tempted to start charting, Hopefully. Will it matter if I go and buy a thermometre today that it's day 2 and not day 1?

Actually, on the matter of it being day 2, my period is playing silly beggars with me again. Yesterday never developed into a full-flow and there's been barely anything overnight. I have no doubt it IS a period (and not anything else) but it's been getting increasingly light in recent months and I'm a bit Something to ask the hospital when I get my referral, I guess.

Anyway, lots to do, so lots of love
xx

randomimposter · 01/07/2010 07:47

Hi all - busy on here again.

Quick post as need to shake a leg; squeezes for those feeling pants (special slobbery one for viv), XF for those close to POAS.

Spotting/dark CM stopped on Tuesday after my acu appt... Spooky. Nothing since. Am 5+3 today, had some nausea but think more anxiety related. Tired but due more to early waking toddler. Constipated but think that's anxiety and not enough H2O. I could go on, but you get the picture. How are my fellow recent BFPs doing? Muse you've been quiet, all ok?

Moof ready to move down the list?

Hi to all x

Cheepz - good to hear that you're still putting your notice period to good use. Here's to joining in with symptom spotting etc

Hopefully , seems that your charting is going better than mine. FF has deemed that according to my temps I ovd on day 9, whereas what I think happened was that we slept with the window open that night, then closed for a couple afterwards and then it got really hot so my temp stayed up a bit. I might be wrong, but will see. After my previous 68 day cycle, I'd be surprised if this one is back to normal. Hope that FF is right though as would mean that we'd managed to at least SWI at the right time, whereas if not I've got to hope that the swimmers have stamina!

Moofold - although I'd like to think I wouldn't be the same re POAS, the reality is that I'm already wondering if 8 DPO (which I'm not even convinced was ov date) with a sensitive test is too early - think that the haddock may have to make a reappearance....

Moofold · 30/06/2010 20:39

Its not wrong Hopefully, I was excited too. Just watch it though, it can be a fickle machine. I missed my slot one morning and it stopped accepted sticks for the rest of the cycle to punish me. Enjoy your camping and don't forget your fertility paraphernalia!

That's good about your lack of symptoms with DS. I think I am chilling a little. What will be will be and getting in a state so soon will do me no favours.

Hopefully · 30/06/2010 20:14

Moof I didn't get any symptoms at all (apart from constipation. Lovely) with DS until I was a good 6 weeks, and even then it was just mild nausea and extreme tiredness. All gone by 12 weeks too.

Viv, dude, my cycle buddy. So sorry you're still my cycle buddy. But we shall be victorious this cycle. After spending £50 or whatever it was on a bloody CBFM, I'd better damn well get pregnant!

I am enjoying watching my little chart on Fertility Friend grow. My temperature has varied by all of 0.01 degree every day I've taken it so far. Assuming that continues it should be pretty easy to see post-OV temp spike! Or possibly I've got a duff thermometer...

Incidentally, is it wrong to be looking forward to my CBFM asking me to POAS? I have clearly lost it.

Am meant to be packing for camping holiday (all of 53 minutes away, according to Google Maps), but DP has gone food shopping so I am... not packing. Really looking forward to a little break, even if it is only to Brighton .

Moofold · 30/06/2010 16:54

Cheepz that's the kind of ruthlessness I like to see applied to the list. Thanks to you and Ivy for your advice. That's interesting you had no cramping Cheepz, that's what I'm worried about most because i had lots last two times. I'm probably reading too much into it but i just feel totally normal and its alarming me.

Digi I poas for 37 consecutive days during the 75 day cycle. Its ridiculous isn't it. EWCM always get less for me by the time I get a positive, I've heard others say that too.

Cheepz · 30/06/2010 16:36

ps - i whipped out the MIA's - list was getting abit unwieldy!!!

Cheepz · 30/06/2010 16:36

Updated list to reflect the fact I am now onto 4th post ERPC cycle of not trying on the basis of job move and full notice working although thank god as this whole house move is taking up so much time I am able to do it all while pretending to work!! At least I should be able to participate in the TTC list from next cycle - yay, am abit bored of not being able to rant about 2ww, obsess about ovulation and constantly think about new ways to seduce DH withough him closking its babymaking time

viv that sucks the big one - and not in a good way. love to you lady

8s can I have some magic for exchanging soon please - I might just lose my mind otherwise

battery flying in for a shag - thats quite something = I am super impressed with your dedication

moof i had barely any symptoms with DS until we were at like 14 weeks so don't fret - I was abit more hungry but no nausea, no cramps - nothing, mind you I wasn't watching but I was normal for months

righto - off to surf the internet

xx to all
