Oh Dot - Wow wow wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How utterly fantastic - I'm on here so rarely I missed it ! Typical!
I quite understand that you won't be able to relax - but try to enjoy anyhow...
Am so pleased for you - this is so very deserved after all your patience and waitng and driving up and down the country ( no enjoying the ttc process for either of us!)

caydeb · 25/07/2003 05:30

sorry to hear your news Lexy but we're all here for you, and definately go private don't worry about feeling that your que jumping cause your not.

Dot I'm so pleased for you

Isn't that 1 pregnancy a week since this thread started. Lets hope some of this good luck rubs off onto the rest of us as well.

bunny2 · 24/07/2003 23:44

Brilliant Dot!! So happy to see another of us graduate from this thread. Well done for all your perseverance, you inspire me.

Lexy, I second Dot, queue jump if you can. I had the same problem as you and paid £95 to see the consultant as a private patient. Well worth it. If you cant or dont want to go private, ypur gp surgery might be able to ring the fertility clinic to find out waiting times.

niknik · 24/07/2003 21:35

So sorry to hear about your news Lexy75 .
Re wait to see specialist, I have my first appointment on Aug 4th (so that has been just over 7 weeks for me on the NHS). However during those weeks he's kept me busy by ordering my Day 5 and Day 21 blood tests, DH's sperm test and I've had an ultra sound scan, so he will have all that information ready for my first consultation. I didn't think this was too bad, because I was definately considering going private initially and queue jumping

hewlettsdaughter · 24/07/2003 20:28

Dot1, that's fantastic news! You must be so pleased after all that rushing about when you were ovulating (I have been catching up on previous ttc threads).

sibble · 24/07/2003 19:41

Congratulations Dot1, am really happy for you.
Thanks for the info Bunny2, am going to see what happens between now and December when I go back to see consultant, fingers crossed it will happen on it's own but will see. Am not going to ttc again until end Sept to let body get back to normal after m/c. Hope you are lucky this month. Are you having treatment on NHS or privately?
Quackers, how are you feeling today, good I hope.
Good luck everybody

ScummyMummy · 24/07/2003 14:58

Dot- that's brilliant. So pleased for you.

Lexy- hope you can get the help you need soon.

dot1 · 24/07/2003 14:54

so sorry Lexy to hear your news - do you know why you're not ovulating?

I'm not sure what the waiting times are like. I wasn't ovulating, but was fortunate enough to already be seeing a specialist about something else, so I could get what I needed quite quickly (Metformin). Once I started taking Metformin, I must have started ovulating fairly quickly - within a few months anyway.

Is there any way you could maybe go privately for an initial appointment - queue jump? (I know, it's cheating a bit...)

Lexy75 · 24/07/2003 14:17

Hi all got my blood test results on monday and found out im not ovulating
Doctor has reffered me to a specialist and told me its a long wait. Can anyone tell me what the average waiting time is for an appointment ?
And what happens when i go there.
Still waiting for my period to come and its going to feel like a double blow knowing im having them yet im not ovulating

dot1 · 24/07/2003 13:22

thanks - Quackers I haven't got a DH I've got a DP who's female! (she had our first baby, so this is my first!).

I think my due date = March 31st, so I've been thinking about starting an April thread, as I'll more than likely be late. And yes, I think I'm 4 weeks + 2 days!

WideWebWitch · 24/07/2003 13:07

Oh that's lovely Dot1, congratulations!

sis · 24/07/2003 13:03

niknik · 24/07/2003 12:23

quackers · 24/07/2003 12:16

DOT1 I'm absolutley delighted for you!! Well deserved!!!!! Well done!!!!!!! Does that mean you're 4 weeks and 2 days???? Not sure about these abbreviations!!! I'm very very happy for you!! I bet your DH is very proud!!! When you feel ready come and join us on the March thread - that is if you are still in March, you might yet me the first in April!!!
