please help, faint lines on tests - am I or arent I?

I tested on a hunch at 11dpo, and got very very faint "is it there or isnt it" lines on several different IC. Then yesterday I did a couple more tests and got almost nothing, so chalked it up to bad tests. Then this morning, the witch didnt arrive as I expected, so I peed on some more, and got more lines, darker (I think) than 11dpo. So I did a clearblue +/- test and there is a definite line, but its really skinny, not fat so I'm doubting its real. I dont know how I can be pregnant, as DH has had the snip almost 2 years ago, we did have sex the day I ovulated (I keep a close watch on my cycle as its irregular and I like to know when to expect AF) so I suppose there is a microscopic chance.

what do you think? am I just getting dud tests?

Green here for OPK and Blue fot HPT too

Sorry but the green lines are in completely the wrong places to be pos lines, they would be much closer to the control lines,

cant see anything extra on the CB i'm afriad

Sorry,

nappyaddict · 17/05/2010 04:09

I can see two lines on both the green ones.

Havingkittens · 17/05/2010 00:20

I agree, the green ones are opks in my experience. Although I have heard of opks being used as hpts (see peeonastick.com).

When my AF was due last month I did two tests on the blue internet cheapie test sticks and got lines that were just about perceptible to the human eye so I did a digital and it came up as 'pregnant'. It will give you a definitive answer rather than torturing yourself with uncertainty and running back to the bathroom every 20 minutes so check whether you're seeing things or not.

Any news faddle?

loopydoopy · 15/05/2010 12:39

the lines on the green tests are the control lines to let you know they are working (i have used these) i cant see any other lines sorry.....maybe wait (i know impossible!) a few days to see how the bleeding is/if you get any more then test again with a different make.

Good luck x

well still no sign of AF and no spotting or cramping since yesterday. my BB's are a bit less sore though. I'm starting to doubt myself and wonder if I got my ovulation day wrong.

sorry, didn't mean to doubt you. It's just that mine are green for ov and blue for preg.(different make)

Will keep an eye on your thread and keep fingers crossed. How great if you don't have to do the reversal.

Good luck.

Hang in there faddle. My faint line (that my GP refused to confirm due to incredibly low levels of hcg!)is now the eldest of 3!
Every day you're pregnant, the levels increase so test away.
Best of luck faddle.I'll be thinking of you.

faddle · 14/05/2010 21:19

green ones are def. hpt, my OPK's are navy blue handles.
I could see the lines on the IC really clearly IRL, but the clearblue I had down for an error/evap due to the thin line.
I dunno whats going on. Still no sign of AF, spotting has totally stopped, and no cramping yet. I dont really want to spend £10 on a digi test when I have plenty of IC's which will tell me the same thing eventually if you see what I mean. I suppose I'll have to sleep on it and see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully not AF!

cant see lines, but i had implantation spotting after faint positive. so it might be that. and my sister in law always says, a line is a line.

waitingforbedtime · 14/05/2010 13:35

I dont see lines, sorry. My internet cheap ones werent green but Im not sure that means anything?

hippychick66 · 14/05/2010 13:27

Internet cheepies - hope I'm not being insensitive - but arn't the green ones ovulation prediction and the blue ones pregnancy??

Pootles2010 · 14/05/2010 13:13

I can see the lines, can't see how it would be implantation bleed (because that would mean implantation happened after you got a positive test, if you see what i mean). However plenty of people have little bleeds in early pregnancy don't they?

I think this is just a wait and see... not easy i know! good luck!

missseptember · 14/05/2010 12:56

Could be just implantation bleed perhaps?
I agree about buying a digital test, at least then you won't be worrying 'are the lines there or not'!!
I can see lines on the tests you've already done though!

BessieBoots · 14/05/2010 12:53

I can see the line on the bottom test, but not on the others...

Muser · 14/05/2010 12:42

I'm afraid I don't see lines, where should they be? I might be looking in the wrong place/

Would it be easier to just go and buy a digital test?

faddle · 14/05/2010 12:42

oh, and AF has vanished again. Not even spotting now. WTF? I'm so confused. The IC's are 10miu sensitivity, and the CB is 25miu, not sure if that makes much difference though, I would expect my level should be over 25 if I'm a day late.

faddle · 14/05/2010 12:40

I must say I didnt trust the CB as the line was so skinny, but def. blue and came up towards the time limit. I did another one yesterday evening and got the same thing.

OP posts:
LittleSilver · 14/05/2010 12:37

OK, well imho non-expert opinion, the ICs are positive and the CB is an evap. Personally I am not a fan of CB and don't buy the brand any more. The others def look positive, no question! Congratulations!
